In this video I will show you how to replace the Yamaha Trim and Tilt Switch on almost every Yamaha Outboard Engine out there. This switch is on the engine itself. Takes about 10 minutes and will save you a lot of money doing it yourself. Hey i have a Yamaha motor and the trim and tilt is tuck on the up position in order to stop it i have to disconnect the battery can it be the switch thats stuck? Thank you

how did you determine it was the switch and not the relay? I think my relay is intermittent as when I take green or blue off the relay and touch directly to the red they both work.
My trim on my 2008 90 horse Yamaha stopped working all together. Did you figure it out?

My outboard motor is a 2000 yamaha 90hp and I don't have a switch anywhere to do this...should it have a switch? I'm new to all this and have no clue. Couldn't find a switch on the engine at all.
Only if you ordered it with one. Not all of them have the switch on the cowling, just on the throttle.
How can you tell if it is the switch and not the relay ? Would you know ?
You can pull the switch and test it separately.
What year HP is this being done on? I have a 2005 50hp that is doing this same thing and am curious if the part numbers are the same.
