We don't necessarily have a budget for Christmas but what I've been doing is gifting my daughter a total of 8 presents. 4 from mom and dad and 4 from Santa. It's really helped me be very intentional with all the presents we get her.

I really want to get him a Tonie or a yoto player. I like the tonie option and having the character on top oppose to the card insert and that getting bend and damaged. The bow and arrow is a great idea. We love the little golden books too!! Thanks again for sharing 😊

Next year, now that our kids are getting older, I think we're going to have them buy a gift for each other and then a few presents from us. We do a group gift from Santa. This year it is the small electric keyboard that Costco had.
Yes! I do that too with my three boys: two gifts from mom and dad, and one gift from each brother. It’s always something to see what they choose to give each other.

We do something they want, something they need, something to wear, and something to read! Plus one Santa gift and each kid gets a set amount to pick out a gift for their siblings. We also tend to do one family gift (typically an extention to beloved open ended materials- this year its a container of connecting cubes that my boys use to build all kinds of things). Oh and then stockings! Our stockings aren't huge so those are usually for candy, travel/on the go items, and/or art supplies. One of my favorite traditions that we do though is that on Christmas Eve the boys get to open a gift which is a box with our family matching pjs, some treats, and a new board game. We then get in our pjs and enjoy our treat while playing the new game. My boys are 5, 3 and 3 months. Such a sweet time of year!

Just to share my Christmas gift I usually do for my kids. I like to do 3 items (a need, a want and an educational item). This year my kids grandpa blessed my 3 kids with $1,000 so that was the budget this year which we are blessed with but typically we would keep our budget around $400-$500 total. We do not do stockings but we do holiday baskets that we gift the kids on Dec 1st. This usually has a holiday book, toy, candy and this year it had a tonie figure.
We don’t do gifts on christmas we are 100% experience based but my parents always get 1 or 2 gifts for my daughter. Usually it’s pretty big gifts so it’s more than enough considering we already buy her so much stuff!
I have loved watching your progression as a UA-camr. I started following you when you were pregnant with rocky! I am also an aspiring photographer! Do you have suggestions on preset packs, I’d love to see more photography content!

I love how you're aware of how much you spend on your kids because some parents think that by buying expensive gifts to their kids that they will like them and you know them so well that even with the little things like girls or even a bracelet but they actually like they will enjoy and that's why I love your videos so much because you're so much like me I don't like spending too much money on things that will only be enjoyed for a temporary time because that what Christmas should be about

My budget this year was $100 per kid plus about $20 for stocking stuffers. We don’t really do toys in stockings, just candy and essentials such as socks and underwear, chapstick, etc

Love your vlogs! Totally agree on the habitual screen time. We noticed such a behavior shift when we moved away from that. We still do it here and there but no set time and that’s been the key for us! We also have the tonie box and my kids 4&2 are still loving it- we actually have an Anna one so that does exist haha. They are starting to be more into the stories. I do wish they had the copyright to the real voices- some are really off 🤣 but the kids don’t care.
Okay now I need anna 🤣 but the voice differences bother me too although my kids have no clue 🤣

My kids are 3 and 5 ❤ for Christmas I have focused on number of items instead of amount spent.
Doing a budget is a good idea because I just bought whatever but for next year I think $150 is a good idea!
Your tomatoes look like they are starting to get blossom end rot! Also, if you need to, you can pick the tomatoes while they’re green and they will change to red! It can help if you put them in a paper bag with a banana, or in a sunny window. You got this 🤍

Tight year for us but, we did about $150 total for our 4 year old girl and 2 year old boy, including stockings. Facebook Marketplace was a winner the past couple of months with some of the bigger items. Did a lot of things that both of them will enjoy and neutral enough that our 3rd baby coming in February will eventually use too.
Love this so much!! Facebook marketplace is such a good place to find so many gems!!

I think it is ridiculous when people say I only get my child 8 presents because I am trying to be very intentional with what I get them. Like ???????????? I get my kid 2 presents. One from my and dad and 1 from Santa. I grew up receiving 1 present from Santa; my parents didn't bother to get me anything. I don't remember the present but I do remember the experiences because my parents were bit adventurous so we were traveling to different places, and that is what I remembered.
