Brings back so many memories of being 14, having a ball, wagging school, getting drunk and hanging out at the Nunawading Pool. This album was IT for us teenagers then and I still love it! RIP Shirl.
Thanks for sharing Karen, I was a mere 5 year old in Sydney at the time and loved Horror Movie . This was my first album and I loved growing up with it and discovering just what Shirl', Greg and the gang had to say. Those first 2 albums are still dear to my heart to this day. People wish for 'Hendrix, Cobain, Presley etc' back.... I wish for Shirley. Cheers!
@@Jules5 I saw them live more than once. He was such a showman and a show off but in a great way. Always got the crowd involved and made everyone laugh. And they sounded brilliant. They wrote songs about Melbourne which we loved even more. It was a great time to be young! Thank you for posting it, makes me feel young again.
@@Jules5 6 for me, in Melbs. And likewise, horror movie was my first awareness of 'em. Little too young to see 'em anywhere but countdown - wahhh. But the band is the spirit of melbs, living in the 70's

They were certainly something. Saw a couple of concerts. Where was this recorded - Festival Hall? And is that Luna Park, in St Kilda (2:30)?
Footage is from a couple of clips on youtube, and yes that's Melbourne Luna Park. Always loved that shot of them on the roller coaster.
Check out who your talking to and make sure they are real .
