Nice video! I was 26 when I owned one in dark maroon from 1990 to 93 while living in the beach towns around San Diego. It was my only vehicle at the time. I rode it the Grand Canyon, down Baja, and up the coast highway. It was a good bike. Comfortable on long trips. I miss it. I sold it a bought a car when left California. Thanks for the memories,
@@HighTechLab is their any thing wrong with them . And how many mile s are on them . Why are you saleing them so cheap. The only thing I'm a long way from you
They are even more fun when you introduce a bit of racing fuel. In 83 it was one of the fastest except the big brother V65. They were so fast that in following years Honda de-tuned them. Little cam work and you were faster.
Just wondering, do you usually cut the fuel pump to the engine to turn off the bike and then the key? Or was this cause it’s gonna be sitting for a bit?
I do. This was my first motorcycle and since I have gotten quads, cars, trucks, etc. all with manual gearboxes, so the skill has improved a LOT since this video.
I had an 83 V45 Magna for many years. My favorite bike out of all the bikes I owned. But I knew how to shift 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Right on
Regarding the shifting: Everyone knows you were meant for an electric motorcycle. Nice rip
I had a 1982 v 45 Magnum and it was very fast . Top speed 154 .love the bike and would love to have one .
I have two v45's and they are up for grabs if you want them, located in California.
@@HighTechLab how much do you want for them .
I know I can out do this guy when it come s to shifting gear s .
@@rickeybullington68 if you want them I'd take $250 total for both, clean titles in hand

Take in on a highway and on ramp, I wanna see it really wind out. Hope ya warm it up first and shift a lot better.

how to fuck up a Magna guide 101 ?
The best thing I've learned from this video is how NOT to shift!
Ya, he clearly does Not know how to ride that thing. Embarrassing. Lol
I have this same bike....love it! 😎
I have the Supertrap exhaust from 1985 on mine. 1982 V45
why that kind of shifting ? :-( .. hurts my ears to hear it .. new to the bike or ?
it is true u shift gear like a disabled person.....
Man it hurts to watch that needle sit so high cruising around

I ride a tuono v4.. thinking of getting this little thing to do milage to work and have fun on the weekend on the tuono
a time machine
I'd go nuts having a powerful bike like that living in massive suburbia. A classic RD200 would be much more fun to flick around in the 30-60mph range.
love the view
Shifting problem?
Yea, he dont know what hes doing. Thats the problem.
Better make ik Low TechLab, you have no feeling for the bike at all, redlining it when cold, very bad shifting.
At 2:34 he seem to shift ok. But otherwise I think he needs more practice can't shift for shit
That poor magna 🤦♂️
Super condescending comments section. Fantastic bike though, I'm interested in getting one myself
Hope you ride better now...

nice bike i have a83
Worst shifting ever
Dude!!!! You need to learn how to ride
nice bike, hard to watch though...
Worst rider ive ever seen lol
Anyone interested in a pristine 82 v45
Stacy Starnes still available?
Was thinking about this bike. Judging by the comments though, it seems to attract a particular type of biking dickhead. I’ll pass.
Lousy choice of location for a test drive. Local neighborhood? WTF?
O'Fipps lol
