I use to get those White Castle Burgers 10 for a dollar had to hitch hike to town to get them . They were awesome and worth going to "Z" town and back. Thanks for the memories and the recipe Neil and Amy. Stay safe and have fun with your videos. Fred.
When I lived In Virginia we, as young men used to stop by The Little Tavern (pretty much the same as Krystal and White Castle) in Georgetown D.C. and get burgers by the bag and Chili after a night of drinking (not heavily). We always had a designated driver that changed weekly. These remind of those great old days. Great job.
Very close to how we did it at Krystal. The difference is that Krystal uses rehydrated onions. Placed on top of the raw patty. That cooks for a few then flipped to allow onions on bottom. Then the bottom bun goes on the meat and top bun on top of that. Then placed under a hood to steam in that onion water. Cheese got added as soon as taken from the grill. I believe yours would be way better
How do you two stay in such great shape eating all that good food?? Keep those recipes coming, Blackstone newbie here in Canada taking advantage of your videos!! Can't thank you enough!!
I love flattops. Don't know what I would do without my big outside flattop. That being said my most prized possession is my electric kitchen stove (I inherited it from my mom and grandfather). It's 50+ years old at this point and I've resurrected it so many times over the years that I'm surprised it still works, the oven temp is touchy in the big oven and really wonky in the little one and the burner plugs go bad every few years but if I can I will never replace it with a new one even if I had the $5k plus to toss around that I see asked for something similar these days. Why? One reason... Right smack in the middle between the burners is a 12x17 flattop griddle. SO many memories made on that rectangle hunk of metal and it's great to just take the cover off, fire it up, and toss something on it. Sure they make thin metal countertop versions but they don't compare. Middle of the night snack attack, scramble some eggs and fridge leftovers up. Kids over for breakfast, sliced scrapple and letter/dinosaur pancakes. Movie night, cheese steaks. Probably one of the first things I ever learned to cook on even before I learned to boil water.
Liked the intro. Neal those cheeseburger sliders look very good. I can only imagine how good that they taste. Definitely going to make them just like you made them. Great way of how to make them.
Those look delicious Neal! Hawaiian rolls are yummy and make perfect sliders. You must have dug deep in the drawer to pull out that shirt! Brings me back to where it all started! Awesome cook! Cheers my friend!
I use the same bread for my sliders but I scramble fry my meat with the onions and cheese... sometimes I add chopped bacon.... try it you'll like it.... a kind of cheat cheese steak... Seniors at bingo love them...
So I was on vacation and I see this commercial with the Manning brothers and Kings Hawaiian rolls. The first thing I thought was "Oh if Neal see's this it's on like Donkey Kong. Then I see this video and laugh. Then when you did the first five I was like "But what's Amy gonna eat" Then you commented lol. As far as them getting cold, well that is why they invented the microwave oven. Now on another note getting Amy on camera was the best introduction.. Awesome Job!
Looks just like the Chili's Big Bites, but I am sure yours are better. Chili's also fries theirs with onions and grilled bacon chopped. OMG. Love love the channel.
You addressed at the end the little things I caught. Also, I arbore mustard but those are some great looking sliders Sir. Tip of the cap to you. I have definitely subscribed after this video.
Mmmmmmmm, Another great recipe, takes me back to my youth down in Fla. but we had Royal Castle not White Castle but basically the same thing. I miss there birch beer to. Brings back a lot of good memories that's for sure. I will definitely have to try this recipe out.
great vid, i appreciate the details about the meatball portion size. one idea i had while watching the bun cutting part; what if you cut the whole thing in half, but then toasted the whole thing? when i burn myself it's always toasting buns so i can see that saving my knuckles by minimizing the number of flips.
Wow, you can really cut those onions fast. I’d like to know what kind of knife or brand of knife you use and how you sharpen it enough to do that. Could you perhaps one day do part of a video on how to sharpen your knives?
YUM! Krystal sliders is another one of those that is still on my lisr to do. In the meantime, i make SMASH burgers. Thanks for the video and GRIDDLE ON DUDES. Oh, nice i tro Amy.
we talk about this all the time...its a personal preference....I actually uploaded a Dairy Queen burger...it was a recipe from the first one ever made...we mentioned how many people scold me for putting topping on the bottom....even had people unsubscribe because of it...we laugh but thats true...it makes them that mad...BUT when you look a some of the most successful burger chains in the US....toppings are on the bottom.....so to me...its all about preferences
This might be a good idea for a future video! What about cooking a gluten free meal on a griddle for someone who has celiac disease? Would previous cross contamination make it impossible? Or is it possible to properly clean a flat top from previous gluten exposure?
It was good to see the flat top queen in this video. I’ve been watching for a while, and all I know is her voice. Neal, you married above your paygrade.
Just curious and I may have missed it, but as far as these grills go. How do the grill tops (material) compare as far as made in USA to China or else where. Where is Stainless in this market?
There is one brand in USA but i ithink they make em for indoors...as for the China thing I understand...but unfortunately some things are uncontrollable...seems like griddles are just that...im not aware on USA made...I think the Traeger was made in Vietnam. As for the Stainless goes..typically same result...
Amy, rockin the Charlie look…. Navy….get it?😝 did I just date myself? I prefer “chronologically challenged” Oh I crack myself up😎 cheers to my TN folks.
I've just never liked those Hawaiian buns. I prefer regular slider buns, but you can't find the damn things a lot of the time and the Hawaiian ones are everywhere.
I use to get those White Castle Burgers 10 for a dollar had to hitch hike to town to get them . They were awesome and worth going to "Z" town and back. Thanks for the memories and the recipe Neil and Amy. Stay safe and have fun with your videos. Fred.
Holy moly! Caramelized onion?! Hawaiian rolls!? Can’t get any better!

Wouldn’t change a thing. Starving now🤤🤤
Man them right there made me hungry. I ate them by the sack when I was in high school.
Love the intro and Neil, you're taking those "Slodders" to the next level, man! 👍😃 Looks both delicious and unbeatable. 👌😋
Great Intro AMY, nailed it!! Now you are crankin it up, these are great, like the idea of the toasting of the buns, good recipe.
Those look delicious Neal! Hawaiian rolls are yummy and make perfect sliders. You must have dug deep in the drawer to pull out that shirt! Brings me back to where it all started! Awesome cook! Cheers my friend!
ahahhahah No that deep....all no clean cloths..hahhaha JK
I use the same bread for my sliders but I scramble fry my meat with the onions and cheese... sometimes I add chopped bacon.... try it you'll like it.... a kind of cheat cheese steak... Seniors at bingo love them...
I LIKE IT!!! Good job!
Made these with a mix of bison pork and lamb seasoned with Cavanders. Served on kings pretzel buns with Grillos spicy pickles

Dang it!! Dem onions 😢 My mouth is watering,Now I gotta try it!!!
Fantastic vid guys! Straight to the point, no nonsense.. I would much rather make this for my family than Krystals or White Castle.. great job!
Absolutely
Looks just like the Chili's Big Bites, but I am sure yours are better. Chili's also fries theirs with onions and grilled bacon chopped. OMG. Love love the channel.

Damn excellent! There's a White Castle 2 minutes from me, and it's my guilty pleasure. However, your sliders are how I make mine! Excellent work sir!

Solid!
Yum, another recipe I’m going to try, thank you!
Man y’all always knock it outta the park!! Great 👍🏼 job, I can’t wait to try this one ☝🏼 too!! 😁
Hope you enjoy
I use the kings hawaiian bread rolls in a philly cheese steak kinda way.. it's awesome and bite size.
The best burgers are made with home ground hamburger. I grind mine with a whole brisket. You can’t go wrong.
Absolutely.....just filmed that from the trimmings from the brisket cook we just did
great vid, i appreciate the details about the meatball portion size.
one idea i had while watching the bun cutting part; what if you cut the whole thing in half, but then toasted the whole thing? when i burn myself it's always toasting buns so i can see that saving my knuckles by minimizing the number of flips.
ok building on this, you could put the half-sheet of buns on top of the cooked onions to steam before or after toasting
Wow, you can really cut those onions fast. I’d like to know what kind of knife or brand of knife you use and how you sharpen it enough to do that. Could you perhaps one day do part of a video on how to sharpen your knives?
Yum!👌🏻

Nice surprise with the intro, you can't go back now!
Looking good 👍
I guess you could wrap each one in foil or a paper towel for that steam affect
Absolutely
More cheese, more beef...more Amy! 😄
hahaha trure
Where did you get the wooden handle spatula
What is that flattop tool?
Looks great not too be a stickler, but pickles always on top of the burger
we talk about this all the time...its a personal preference....I actually uploaded a Dairy Queen burger...it was a recipe from the first one ever made...we mentioned how many people scold me for putting topping on the bottom....even had people unsubscribe because of it...we laugh but thats true...it makes them that mad...BUT when you look a some of the most successful burger chains in the US....toppings are on the bottom.....so to me...its all about preferences

That is a very good question and I honestly could not answer with out doing research
Where did you get the long handle scraper I have seen you using?
Traeger Griddle Box...listed below in my descriptions
Where did you find the angled handle scraper
Traeger bent handle scraper...listed in the description below
Moar Cowbell!
Great intro….Neal your intro are now replaced…sorry! Now those sliders are lookin’ so good!
It was good to see the flat top queen in this video. I’ve been watching for a while, and all I know is her voice. Neal, you married above your paygrade.
cant argue...we actually have several videos with her in there
Just curious and I may have missed it, but as far as these grills go. How do the grill tops (material) compare as far as made in USA to China or else where. Where is Stainless in this market?

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I just made these same burgers about 3 months ago. there so good. i did a video on it also. nice job.
You married good. Your wife is similar to the halo griddle. 🔥🔥
ahhahaha I appreciate that...
Mustard is Krystal, White Castle is ketchup. I live in the South now and have to request ketchup, rather that mustard. Looks great though!!!!!
No onions on mine please🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
comparing these to a White Castle burger is like comparing a Whopper to a WC burger: they're exactly *nothing* alike
My doctor doesn't approve... but I do.
I've just never liked those Hawaiian buns. I prefer regular slider buns, but you can't find the damn things a lot of the time and the Hawaiian ones are everywhere.
She is so darn cute
Are there really two kinds of American cheese, "real" and "fake"? If so, how do I recognize the real kind vs the fake kind?
come to wisconsin if you want the real cheese.
You just spoke to my stomach buddy
Amen
Sorry.....you lost me at the mustard. I'm a ketchup kinda guy.
Nothing really elevated in this video compared to other slider videos.
No offense buddy but her sweet face beats yours anyday lol
they need mayonaise !!! stop the mustard and pickles!!!!!!!!!
NO im good...you can...but not for me...and it seems like not for the 2 franchises as well..
Those looked good Neal mc meal... about 6 would be perfect !
Go VOLS..
