Great info. I am a new ‘24 500 EXC-F owner with aims to learn all these service points. I’ll go through my manual to highlight and note up all these items. Is it worth buying the Service Manual from KTM or is the Owners Manual complete enough?

I got a question for you. I’m working on a 2015 ktm 500 exc and I can’t find anything about the choke/idle screw. Like a suggested clicks out or in. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Looking at my 2024 350 EXC-F Owner and Service Manuals it states that the chain tension should be 55-58mm (same as you stated on the 24 KTM 500 and my old gen 350). But inside the airbox the sticker shows 58-61mm chain tension. I believe that the front sprocket has been moved (lowered) in respect to the swingarm pivot for this new gen EXC (which may account for additional slack noted on the airbox sticker).
Hopefully KTM will correct one of these specs so I can adjust accordingly.
