that was great. When do they do that again? Thats my home "track". My home was seconds from the Silo. Went up there as a kid when it was private property in the 70's and 80s just to explore, ride bikes on the jeep trails and sled. Not to mention the dumb teen stuff. Its my favorite place in the world. I love that so many now get to use it!
August 11 will be the next one according to Cambr.org, July 28 will be at Raceway Woods. I would love to go back in time and see these places in the 70's.
Nice video!
I missed out, Raceway is my favorite. Only was able to stay there til 9 and volunteer that day…. Doing all races next year.
Thanks for sharing your video!!
Great video, thanks for posting! I'm the rider in the blue and orange jersey that you passed around 2:30-2:37 in the video. Watching this makes wish I had stayed on the gas a little bit more before getting into the singletrack. Overall, a fun race, I would do it again next year. I will also be racing sport in the Meltdown and Paul Douglas Pursuit.
Yeah, Raceway has a good climbing chunks and not many passing opportunities. 2 laps were enough for me! 😅 Raceway is a MTB gem! I'll be in Comp class in Palos and Douglas.
@@SpokedTrails after going back and watching your entire video, I can see why you'd race Comp, at least at Palos. You're wicked fast!
Nice job, brother!👍
Hey Phillip, do you have all of your local area route maps on Strava or RWGPS? I’m new to Chicago area and I’m enjoying your trail videos but some GPS maps would be helpful.
For sure, most of my rides I do videos on have my Strava routes in the description. You should be able to copy or star these so you can use them in your GPS device.
What tires are you running this year?
On the hardtail I'm going from Maxxis Ikon 2.2" to Vittoria Mezcal 2.3"
@@SpokedTrails I am running Aspens and had a rough go at Palos in the comp class. Thinking about running a Barzo up front next year.
