Karen Long - I agree that more ages, shapes, and sizes should be included in these segments, but I also don’t like it when fashion tips for older women assume that everyone over 50 is heavy. We are all different and the thin over-60s, like me, are also here looking for tips.
I don’t like at all that red dress on me and I wouldn’t copy that old hag Jane Fonda she looked horrible on the Grammys. Outdated dry long hair & dress! Lol! How about petite styles fit & petite we do exist.

What a miss on this piece ~ i don't know many women my age that wear high, thin heels anymore. I would have loved to have seen real women - in mid fifties for real - and maybe some real sizes - not model type bodies.
Darlene Tripp - Women of *every* size are “real”. 🙄 I’m in my 60s, size 0, don’t diet, or go too crazy with exercise, just try to live a healthy lifestyle. Based on the existence of 3 offspring, there is evidence that I am, in fact, quite real. Women come in all shapes and sizes; they are all “real”, and they should all be represented in fashion, thin, heavier, and everything in-between..
Frances Walker - True. 2 are 72. Jane Fonda is over 80. All look fabulous. But there are many gorgeous stylish actresses in their 50s that could have been used.
SkiingIsMyHappyPlace Bliss I know they said over 50 but the looks were I guess you could say my age group I’m 65 will be 66 this year but the only outfit that looks like my style was the white outfit more me and very chic ☺️👌🏾✨
Hello Claudia.... I really love this video.. but I'm not a woman... What can I do about it now is just to watch.. because it's for you ladies..... and you look so adorable.. How are you doing?
You put a lady that weights 300 lbs is not able to wear some of these styles...regardless of what you say along with not feeling comfortable in them. Lets have a fashion show with those that are that heavy, medium and small. Let's have ladies that are 60..70..80ish...thats the mature women show.
Ugly clothes not practical for the average Canadian gal. All white jumpsuit on Rose who is super tiny. The red dress is ugly. Denim outfit boring, shoe selection looks ridiculous on older women. Disappointing!
I’m 55, good body and petite. Not wearing this boring stuff. The all white and heels were good looking, only pieces of the other outfits. Why so frumpy?
IDK....but be careful in those shoes! U may not have the foot dexterity u once did. I was so happy to see an added strap over the arch on 'thong-style sandals....tose will still stay on my feet, but not the flip flops.
You will never catch me on loafers they are hideous! Those shoulders on the red dress are so 80's 😥bleah patent leather shoes with the jumpsuit no! They should have stayed grunge dead. The white suit is chic! Full velvet ? Really ?! Pants got to go the Blazer is nice.
stay away from that second one the red dress, the 80's called they want their shoulders back lololo Jumpsuits are too annoying, life is too short. Those red shoes with the red dress were delicious tho
they only out fit that I would even consider wearing was the jeans out fit and the white jump suit the others were tacky why follow a trend when you can make your own.
Lol, why do stylist always have the women coming out dressed like grandmas? I'm over fifty and I'm not going to wear my clothes like that. The first model, her clothes were fitting her way too baggy. Dressing old, makes you look old. I'm over fifty, not eighty, so I say if you're still in shape..wear whatever is in style. Unless it's simply and for teenagers and very young adults..lol 💜
First, the women inspiring these looks aren’t around 50. They are all over 70 (closer to my mother’s age not mine) and the body types don’t represent the average 50 year old woman. The red dress was a little too disco (from an era we were in kindergarten for). What are you doing?
These are supposed to be fashion suggestions for women over 50? The guess I'm the only one to have 4 children. None of these women are over size 10. Thanks a lot. And by the way, the patent leather oxfords are ugly.
Umm... I’m in my 60s, have had 3 children, have never counted a calorie in my life, eat very well, and I’m a size 0. What’s your point? Oh, right... only heavy women are “real women” - reverse body shaming. 🙄
WHO says that women over 50 & 60 can't be stylishly dressed? There are a lot of styles, colors, stripes & floral patterns that women over 50 & 60 can wear without looking ridiculous and boring. The only outfit that made any sense was the all white. It was stylish and elegant. That red dress and velvet pant suit 😖😞. I don't know which one of these two ladies can out talk the other. The host or the guess. WOW!!!
I agree and the red dress was just atrocious. I'm just not in to the whole idea that 50 is old anymore. Im surrounded by 50 year women that are in better shape than many high school girls. Maybe the title should by styles for 70 and over. Some people just shouldn't be stylist. I don't think any of this follows 2018 trends.
my mother experiences this type of criticism often. if she dresses conservatively, it's "old woman clothing". If she dresses more youthfully, she's accused of trying too hard to look young.
nope! conservative isn't old. I'm conservative. and youthful isn't necessarily "trying too hard." Unless you are. It's about breaking out of those stereotypes and just being you. Either way, Those outfits in the video were ugly. And those women probably dress themselves better. This isn't a criticism to the women. I think you misunderstood

Women need to support and empower each other, not body shame them, whether they are heavy, OR thin!
@@altitudeiseverything3163 I am 64, 5'1"tall and weigh 108 pounds, so not body-shaming anyone. Just feel that this was a very one-sided and biased video. I am both a runner and a lifter... however, I know that this is not the norm for most people I know. Not sure where you live, but I have my doubts that it is truly the norm in your area either - maybe your specific community, but be honest. What do you see when you go out of that area? A bunch of average women or a whole lot of model types? I work hard to be where I am, but do understand that not everyone has the time or energy for this, and would love to see that this show would take the time to include non-skinny, non-tall women as well as those they showed.
D Moore - My apologies, I’ve just been body shamed all my life and that type of thing is just getting worse online lately. I would never criticize someone for their weight, but it has always seemed acceptable to criticize very thin women, especially if they are middle age, or beyond: they must be vain, neurotic, compulsive calorie counters, or maybe they have an eating disorder. I do agree with you that all sizes should be represented in fashion articles, shows, catalogs, etc. I also think that there needs to be more variety in ages and even abilities shown. To clarify: thin and fit is indeed the norm where I live, even for women over 60. I live in the most fit & thin city (Boulder) in the most fit & thin state (Colorado) in the U.S. The area is focused on outdoor sports, healthy eating, and wellness. Most of our friends are competitive cyclists, ski racers, triathletes, and runners. Virtually all of the rest are avid recreational rock climbers, hikers, snowshoers, ....you get the idea. People play hard here! My husband is a cyclist and races a road bike, cyclocross, and track; he’s in his 70s. While I enjoy a number of sports, I’m not at that level myself. And, yes, It *is* a different world in most of the rest of the country.
The models aren’t 50 or over( but yet modeling clothes for that age ? Very stupid idea) and the models bodies don’t capture the real bodies of women over 50. What the heck is this ? 🤨
They did put us in a box...all thin women...and not even over 60. It didn't show any women who are heavier...im 5'6 at 114...what about those that are 160...180 ..210lbs? So it takes that everyone is 120lbs. We aren't.
It doesn't matter if a woman is over weight, she can still wear these styles. The issue with me is, these styles are hideous. They are not fashionable at all for a woman of 50. More like 80 to 90 year old style..lol

Cool styles. But the trousers that were styled with the red blazer were way too long. It looked ugly. Also, I'm not a fan of bare feet in shoes, it looks sloppy. Wear nylon stockings, or any stockings that match your outfit. Will also prevent you from getting wear wounds on your feet.
