- The plaintiff dated the defendant for about a year. She added the defendant to her cell phone account and bought a TV and other items for her, but she never paid the plaintiff back. The plaintiff is suing for the cost of the items she’s owed. The defendant argues the plaintiff is harassing her and the only reason why the plaintiff is suing is because she’s upset.

What Are Florida's STD Disclosure Laws? Florida law doesn't specifically require a person to disclose an STD to a former or current sexual partner. But the decision to tell a current sexual partner can be a defense against criminal charges for unlawfully engaging in sexual intercourse with an STD.
In most cases a sexually transmitted disease that's not curable and life long must be disclosed such as aids/hiv, gental warts, herpes and so on.

I work in the Healthcare field. So many people have Herpes. It is so common, but it has never been a death sentence like HIV used to be.
And what if it was HSV1? Then this was a NON ISSUE.
Like 50% of the population or some crazy number.
It’s something about this case that turns my stomach 🤮
The defendant is a mess due to the fact the plaintiff cannot stop SSDI checks. The government can only do that. And the plaintiff does not get it when the relationship is over, it is over. Harassment and stalking can put on in prison for many years.
In Pennsylvania if you get diagnosed with anything that could endanger someone else’s health you get reported to the Health Department and they keep a list of people with that condition. Weather it’s a STD, STI or COVID.
But, I don't think they can disclose it. I think that's more for official use. I could be wrong. Seems like they would need to get a signature of consent, bc of HIPAA.
@@aprilpinketon2567 I know with COVID in Philadelphia if your test was positive they would ask where you've been especially if school-aged and they would inform the school, then the student's or teacher's whole class would have to get tested and bring in the results. The school couldn't release the name or results of the person though. But everywhere is different.
I live in PA and never heard of this. Can you link to an article perhaps from PA.gov to source what you’re saying? I think if anything it’s just to keep track of any outbreaks in the area for data.
@@riggamorrischan I was speaking of fact that I know but you can go to The City of Philadelphia Department of Public Health website or Google Infectious Disease Reporting and it will tell you what you need to know. But like I said everywhere is different.

How can her sister be a reliable witness?
Possibly bc the Plaintiff established that her and the sister were very close outside of her relationship with the Defendant. No proof was presented on either side so it isn’t really that the sister is reliable per se, just that the items in question make more sense to be a gift rather than loaned items.
