In early pressings of late 80's there is .... Stamp on run-out groove, it seems to be The STERLING stamp cancelled.
Track A combines elements of :
MFSB -- Love Is The Message (Tom Moulton Mix)(full length version).
The Salsoul Orchestra -- Ooh, I Love It (Love Break Groove).
The Salsoul Orchestra -- Ooh, I Love It (Love Break Version).
A: Originally released 1973.
B: Originally released 1977.
I be in a frenzy on the floor of the Paradise Garage in New York at 2am..I'd start crying tear sometimes from an overwhelming feeling of joy and freedom...THIS song brougth me...Stompin my feet like I was possessed. Oh I remember it well !!!!
Me too 😆
Nothing fought a cold off like a good sweat at The Muzic Box RIP Ron.
Ron Hardy banged the shit out of this track at The Music Box in Chicago 👊
He use to drive me wild and it still does with my old azz. He use to beat that Eq and those damn eggshell strobes going at different flashing timing while on acid. I'd dance my azz off at the Box. Alllllllll Right RON! RIP Ron.
I forgot Ron’s was the bomb.
Yes he did. And the floor packed. His mix started with Youuuuuuuuu.
@@flyingspacerock8968 Those were the good days to be in the Chi.
I miss those days…..yeah Ron used to run this….alright now Ronnie!!!!!!
I first heard this on the WBLS Midnight Dance Party then noticed that it was a floor filler at Club Zanzibar Newark NJ. An absolute Club favorite of mine.
This was a Zanzibar anthem!!!😂😂
Yo, I went crazy on the floor upon hearing this at Brick City Finest Club Ever!
The Paradise Garage Club used to shake when Larry Levan threw this on. What a Classic.
During one of his 10 straight fire sets. Sweat dripping!!!
Catacombs in Philly for me! The sound system was designed by the same people who designed The Paradise Garage's sound system! A smaller venue but without all the Crazy of the Paradise Garage! And Donald Stone on Saturday Nights used to wear this Catacombs Classic out! 👌
Yes he did I started going there in 1978
The whole club shaked whatever he played (RIP). That sound system was not only awesome but the best ever with those whopping 8 foot speakers all around the club!
@@garry3229 it heard catacombs was no joke. I wish can find more info on that spot philly sound starred the disco movement. Catacombs was huge part of it
Warehouse, Music Box I remember it so well! Chi Town stand up! #House
This was the jam back in the day. Brick City
you already!
Reminds me of that Sigma Sounds Philly 70s era. The Trammps, Eddie Kendricks when he went solo, Salsoul Orchestra good music.
This mix is so the Sound of Philly
"MENDEL BI-LEVEL,1984.WERE I FIRST HEARD THIS PLAYED" ROSELAND
You heard Ron Hardy beat it, sir. He used to beat the shyt out of his edited version. The Box went nuts when he played this. Actually, everything he beat we went nut fore
I love to see and here that from Philly to NY to Chicago we all had popular local DJ that pumped this music in all the dance places. Peace from coast to coast.
Reading the comments and I relate to why we called in going to church....if the young kids today could know of this kind of experience through music we'd have a much better world .
WORD IS BOND!!!!!!!
Amen!!!!!
A true Paradise Garage classic along with The Circus and Love is The Message.
Yep..... all Summer long on the NYC Coney Island Boardswalk.
@@felixdacat6572 I used to have my huge JVC boom box I would blast under the boardwalk playing all those Disco classics every Saturday, drinking quarts of Budweiser with my friends. Had a blast back then!
@@davidcheung7789Yes...Good times back then..

Between this, and SouthShore Commission's "Freeman" Catacombs was always the epicenter of a fantastic weekend.
I often wonder if any of them(chi lites) ever actually saw what this song did to us at Catacombs or the Garage or any of the hundreds of Gay clubs back then?
Louie vega! Danny Krivit and a host of DJ's just to name few! Keeping the classics alive🔥🔥🔥🔥

I had this 12" single for years and didn't even know it. Love Is The Message was on the flip side.

Wish I'd experienced that, 'cause truly... I would have love it Fam!
I never got to experience a Toronto scene where Philly Disco moved the room until after the Assoons opened Twilight Zone in the early 80s.
As a club kid in 1970s Toronto, I found most clubs in Toronto didn't have deep appreciation for proper Philly (Salsoul, Love Unlimited "Funk in a Tuxedo" sounds)... until Disco went underground and re-emerged as House during mid/late 80s.
Where was this spot?
Where I been? ❤️ ☮️ 🌉 Fantastic
This was pure ACID.. IT BURNED A HOLE IN THE DANCE FLOORS OF NEW YORK gay nightlife ..joyfull abandon freedom to be..a magical time the 80's
