My 2021 GMC Sierra 3500 been running strong 92k miles and no issues besides a soot sensor 💪 I use it for hotshot always pulling 20k or more lbs trailer and load weight combined. I also take care of it oil changes and fuel filter changes 10k. Speaking of RAM I just seen 3 of them broke down on side of the road today on I95 north 🤣😅😂
I bought a chevy 2013 2500hd and I haul often and I mostly only put highway mileage on it. It now has 230,000 miles on it and it runs like a beast haven’t had any major issues just needs the regular maintenance.
Buddy bought a 2016' Duramax and it is deleted and tuned, but past that bone stock, first brake job at 350K miles, it's a dually and he pulls camper trailers out of Indiana, 450K miles to date and still going strong, and looks brand new, stay strong
Why would the driver even leave it in Cruise control Mode to go up a hill/mountain. I feel it waste more diesel and I feel like it over works the transmission
I don't like the constant hunting a transmission does in cruise. However for the most part I accelerate a bit to get momentum to get over the hill not to lose too much speed so it never gets into gear hunting. Steep hills I let it do it's thing as long as it doesn't upshift. I always cancel cruise on downhills
Hi Alex, been watching you for years. I subscribed years ago as well. I love your video's because of your honesty and sense of humor. No matter the situation, low or high, you always keep a level head on your shoulders. Thank you for your expertise and all the laughs!!
I bought a 2500 & 3500 chevy.. pretty happy with them, my only complaint is the seats suck, i just bought one of those purple seat cushions from loves and its fine now.. i also did cognito leveling kits and yellow bilstein shocks.. its a huge improvement for little $
LOL Alex, the 10 speed "Allison" transmission on my 2022 Duramax Custom trim Silverado is one of it's BEST features. Oh and going 30K miles without any emissions issues shows that GM is finally getting the emissions system figured out.
I bought a 21 silverado basically the same as this. With a flatbed (steel). I too wanted the aluminum but it is a lot more expensive. But so far hauling it's been great. Hopefully will continue to be good.
The bumps are not bumps like one would think, they are called jounce bumpers and they are designed to touch a s compress when loaded gm has been using them for years
Hi Alex it's nice to see you back on UA-cam i do agree with you 100% the problem with the truck is it was designed by accountants they have the final word on what goes into the truck there the ones that cut the truck to pieces 🙃 Take care stay safe and God bless you always 🙋♂️🇬🇧

Not having power up on the passenger side window is a safety feature. There has been cases in the past where a small child will be hanging out the window of a parked vehicle and bump the window button and the window would close, choking the child.
That isn’t a bump stop on GM it is Jounce Bumper and designed to be a part of the suspension and eventually they will be gone and you have to replace them.
I bought the CM ALRD aluminum flatbed for my F350 Dually. Cost just under $4k in 2019. Absolutely love it! I added 30" tool boxes and mudflaps, and currently have a tool box on top instead of an aux fuel tank. May change that soon though. It came with a fixed 30K rated GN ball in a well, and the bumper pull hitch is rated for 18.5K. Total weight of the bed itself is 597 Lbs. which is less than the factory bed, not to mention with a factory bed you have to add hitches which adds about 150 Lbs. If my insurance works out I will be buying a semi soon and then will sell the truck and bed. May sell them separately since I kept the factory bed. If I do, I'll email you first to see if you would want it. I imagine the flatbeds are like the trailers and have doubled in price too.
If ol' Manney was my employee and ran my new truck into a light pole, he wouldn't be so glib about it. I'd give him the option of paying for the repair or taking his shits n' grins routine down to the unemployment office.
it wont regen when your parked unless you use the obd2 port and do a forced parked regen. the reason it wont complete and it will fail a regen is parked and not under load the exhaust temps dont burn hot enough since the truck is not under load so it doesnt burn off the soot properly
What is your recommendation on buying a GMC Sierra Denali 2500 or 1,500 ( not going past the year 2018) to pull a 22 ft pontoon boat which weighs 2500 lb. I just don't want to buy a truck that has had past transmission problems. Of course used trucks are going to have problems but I just don't want one that has those known problems
Give it a chance, and it will last longer than your fords or dodges with that drivetrain, the 10 speed is actually great it is not gms terrible 10 speed, it’s Allison inspired. Yes it is half assed some places like all chevies but where it matters (drivetrain) it is bulletproof. Just delete it asap
Especially seeing how many issues you’ve had with the fords and dodges over the years I’m surprised you haven’t tried a Chevy yet! I predict it will be cheaper and more reliable to maintain in the long run
Loads are paying less & less as well as fewer & fewer. How are loads going with TP? What happened to the Pensky Class 8 truck? Are you getting loads? Whats happening with hotshot loads.
I believe to disable the ideal shut down is when u start ur trucks keep ur foot on break and keep holding the start button for about 15sec And than it will pop up shut down disable. At least that’s how my Yukon is.
I wanted to know how it tows compared to the Ford and Ram..... Currently have a 13 Ram 2500 and have been looking at new 3500s. I really want a 10 speed so Ram is out. The Ford exhaust brake seems to really suck based on your video with V-Belt and Sons. How does the Chevy compare?

I was a brand loyalist. I have been a Chevy man my whole life. I still have a 2012 2500HD. I am going to be daily hauling 25k lbs on a 32' goose, the 2500 isn't up to that task. I just took delivery of a 2022 Ram 3500 HD High Output. Traded my Camaro in on the Ram. I am no longer brand loyal to Chevy, since I need this truck to work and the Chevy can't work as hard as the Ram. I wish Chevy could haul like the Ram, Chevy are you listening? Get rid of IFS on HD trucks and build a real HD truck that can haul. Of all DRW trucks the Ram has the best front end cosmetics (esp night edition) and the bed sides are just smooth and curvy like a beautiful woman. If you are making money with your truck, get a Ram High Output.
Hey Alex I have questions about I have my company RCA Transportation llc about 1year ago but now me and a friend want to buy the truck and trailer is ok we want to go haft on everything what you said or suggested
First, I really enjoy your passion and your videos. I'm not a fan boy of any one manufacturer of truck, I seek out the best of the best. To your points about the windows, I am sure there is a logical reason for no auto up. Likely to avoid the frustration of people doing auto up when all they want to do is leave a crack open on the window. Maybe this is something their research groups found in owners/prospective owners of this class of truck. There has to be a reason for it. There may also be the probability of turning the feature on via something like Alpha OBD or maybe in the setting of the dash. You may say why do you have to do that, just think of it as part of the outfitting process. The point about the rear seat removal. Sure it's more diffcult, and how often are people taking their rear seats out? It's just a quirck. I'd be curious to look at other trucks on the bumpstop. Transmission on hills, be pro-active and lock out the top gears with a gear your comfortable with not going higher. I believe all transmissions are learning, and you're not in the mountains all day, most of your driving is likely on little elevation change and it's doing what it's historically been adapted too. GM hevy has an 8th/9th injector in the exhaust pipe for active regen. RAM active egens by injecting additional fuel into the drive cycle during the exhaust stroke of combustion, not ideal.
Thanks for sharing your experience and opinions. I might be the only one that doesn't mind the look of the front (everything else is plain ugly). Keep on trucking!!!
Who goes uphill on cruise control...I've been to a chevy dealership and the first thing the sales guy said was the chevy 3500 is not designed for hotshot more of a short heavy hauler and went with a ford 4500
These pickups were not built to live in over the road maybe they should start doing it thou I couldn’t imagine sleeping in one for more than one night crap!
It's funny there was a commercial for chevy and your not liking the chevy. The commercial had a 1 ton dually 5th pulling a trailer with a doser on it making it look that it call handle the weight.
I didn’t think it was a big deal to not have climate control )set a specific temperature) until I didn’t have it. It is so annoying hopping in the truck and having it blowing cold from the day before on a cold morning or blowing hot in mid afternoon. Dial to hot then 10 minute later back it off to mid temp. Fan on 1/6 and no air moving on a hot day. Unbelievably annoying.
My only complaint about a GM, if it worked as intended, would be the suspension. Fords use to be a little hard on my back but it's been some years since I've been in one and way longer since I've driven one. I love a GM. They're a pleasure in traffic but their suspensions are garbage at highway speeds going through mountains. Especially in dangerous weather. Dodge makes a total goat for handling. It pays off in emergency situations. I'm not entirely sure what it would take to make that suspension a good one. I'm sure it could be done. For the money you could be driving a modified pre 1994 truck with all the goodies.

Hey brother what you think about a 2015 gmc 2500 FLEX Fuel for 35K with 42K miles? Thinking about it for pulling a 14K dump trailer?
@C B 6.0 brother
P.S.
What's the name of the dealer where you got the truck? I may need.to.make the drive.
Wes Haney in Florida
My only complaint about a GM, if it worked as intended, would be the suspension. Fords use to be a little hard on my back but it's been some years since I've been in one and way longer since I've driven one. I love a GM. They're a pleasure in traffic but their suspensions are garbage at highway speeds going through mountains. Especially in dangerous weather. Dodge makes a total goat for handling. It pays off in emergency situations. I'm not entirely sure what it would take to make that suspension a good one. I'm sure it could be done. For the money you could be driving a modified pre 1994 truck with all the goodies.
How do I apply for a job? I have a truck and I'm planning on financing a 40' trailer
28000 miles and he hit a turkey and a light pole
I loved my L5P duramax’s 670,000 of trouble free money making miles
I seen your silver truck in Rhode Island today. 🤘🏼😎
