Nice! I have been watching Chant's content for a while. I like what he does. Looks like you know what you're doing! Enjoy man. Do you run any fuel additives to get peak fuel efficiency?
Nice job 👍. On those chains, I’d honestly have them pulling front and back much more instead of just running straight through the holes, that way it can’t shift if you hit the brakes hard. Just throwing it out there for ya. Stick with Chant, he’s a solid driver and knows his stuff. Good luck!!
Hey, i noticed your setup. Not sure if you're aware of the weight that the truck can handle but you're definitely pushing the grey area of that rule. Depends upon the state but here in NY we can haul up to 26k without a cdl. And of course that's with the truck and trailer and load. You may want to look at the plate on that door and the one on the trailer, because i'm pretty sure you're out of class. I know when i had my f350 single rear wheel, basically similar truck as yours but a ford version, and i had the heavy spec haul package, I was over 26k towing capacity with it. And on some of the trailers that i pulled even as they were new , they had to have a cdl A because of the gvwr of the trailer. But you'll be alright if you're 10k or under without a cdlb as long as you're under the 26,001 combination. But im just saying this to you to keep you out of trouble. The last thing you want is some dot officer messing around and giving you an out of class ticket. But you probably are aware of the rules and if you and your boss needs to sharpen up on them, this would be the time to do that. Just sharing what i know about it. I spent 14 years out there and seen a few things and want to share because some of it is overlooked. Be safe out there and find some joy in it.
That is not a state limit, 26k is a federal limit on whether he has to certified on having a CDL or not. What you are referring to is GCWR which means what your truck can pull and its cargo and is set by the vehicle manufacturer.
I did this non cdl hotshot 6 yrs ago I’m now doing flatbed but in semi . And every rookie thinks that’s the right way to put it in the axles of the trailer like now if I would of knew I would of put it in the middle of trailer not all the way in the back ….
Great advice!! Iron Sharpens Iron!! Ken!! Oh!!💪🏿
