Hey Boone great video as always. Do you know how to place an arrow underneath a country and not ontop of it?
Yeah you simply draw out those elements and change the order of the layers in the timeline. Or draw out country polygons to use them as mattes.
How can I draw all the continent not by each country 🤔
I would use this - hub.arcgis.com/datasets/esri::world-continents/about
Go click Download, and select geojson. That imports directly into GEOlayers.
layer "IRAN " Draw is in world mapcomp but it is not in containing world mapcomp, why?

Regarding precomp: if you have many layers in the main comp, and then you precomp them, they just disappear. Any tip of how can you clean the timeline without breaking the main comp?

I think they have to be in the same comp at as the anchor. otherwise theres for sure an expression where you have to change the thiscomp with the name of the new comp. but the easiest is have it all in one comp and hide things you dont edit anymore
I've actually been thinking about this topic, and it might almost make sense to get one of these plugins that allows you to group layers. That way you can still organize your timeline, but avoid precomping madness.
Anyone has an idea for deling with big countries/organizations such as US, NATO, UE...? My geo layers runs quite well for countries in general, but it mostly dies when dealing with these. External HD and directing the cache there would solve?
You should play with simplifying geometry, and then just wait for the vectors to draw out. It can take a while. You can also setup After Effects to play back at low resolution, etc. Just general optimization of AE settings.
