To clarify, This is not the base model Fuse 27.5... but the Fuse SPORT 27.5 with better components and a steeper price tag of $2,400
Shoot your right, my mistake in the video, thank you.
$2400 is ridiculous for a mountain bike, IMO. So many better offerings out there for way less money.
@@Jamesthebikeguy big mistake
its on sale now for 1300 aud so thats kinda insane@@lambertj.2892
Hands down one of my favorite frames ever. I have two. One built up with the best of everything to tackle black and double black. One built up for XC-trail riding.
What’s the largest suspension you can safely put on this frame
?
Great video man, appreciate the format!
Great review!
Thanks for the great reviews as always. Can you do the Turbo vado SL?
Any 2023 bike without headset cable routing is a winner. Another nice look!
Me and most of my friends think that headset routing is stupid. I dont know what are they thinking…
Yeah, much harder to maintain if it goes through the headset
Agreed!
As an employee at a specialized store, and a proud owner of a Fuse ,before they ruined the pricing, that is definitely a sport and 2.6 in tires
Can you elaborate on "ruined the pricing"? I'm looking at a fuse right now and have some questions if you have the time.
@@lighlotus117 so the comp use to be $700 cheaper. It’s just way above market value for similar hardtail. The trek roscoe, Kona honzo, nukeproof scout, and so many others are better value.
@@mattheworr2002 Thank you for your response I honestly just got back from a dealer and was told the exact same thing. I'm now currently looking at the Roscoe 8. Because of you I will include the Honzo and Scout as well.
Thank you.
Thank you, I remember when this bike was like $700 and I was going to buy one and they raised it to $1,500 around pre-COVID time frame and just completely ruined it. Nothing got more expensive they just now make a lot more profit and it's disgusting
So glad I picked up a second-hand 2021 fuse with the 2.8s. Literally the only point in the bike is the wide rims and tyres.
Is this seatpost common like that? Confused me on the status frame I just got. Went to put a post in I figured would be too small and it didn't fit being too big. Manual didn't mention it being a 30.9
Hi,
How does this bike compare to the cannondale trail se 3?
Heavier than my full suspension 29er.
Nice catch. Still a nice bike. Out of my price range though.
If u have 1200$ get giant fathom 2 on sale right now
I bought the same one about 6 months ago. Nice bike. Except the shoddy SX Gear system. My dragster from the 70s had better gear changes. Trying to sell it a half price. My partner can hear me changing gears from a block away .
Question.. At 2.3" wide Is this still considered a plus sized tire??
it is not. "plus-sized" is generally agreed for tires 2.8-3.2" wide
I just got a 2022 specialized fuse 27.5x2.3 tires ,can I upgrade them for wider tires? What’s the widest you can go on this model ? Thanks man! Love the video!
I can’t fathom that the 2023 fuse comp 29 is 3 grand!
Yea and the S4 Specialized Stumpjumper Comp Carbon I did buy a month ago was 3250 US (3150 CHF) here in Switzerland so.....😁
Then you should look at the Giant Fathom
@@GregAspenson I was JUST going to say that lol
@@Jacob99174 I knew I wasn’t alone! I just had to. It was too easy
❤❤❤❤
Any good for wheelies?
Only if you are
71.2
The reach is still short for big guy riders.
They claim the Fuse 27.5 weights a little over 29lbs. That is a lie. It is so friggin heavy. And the 1x9 sux. I had it one month and sold it.
Tyres are 2.6
Hek
Should remove Sport from title.
Giant fathom 2 is much better bike then this
Those Fathoms are a lot of bike for the money!
@@Jamesthebikeguy right now on sale too around 1200$ so cant beat the price
Disagree. Frame for frame the Specialized is lighter, has UDH, and threaded B.B.
@@jbprescottaz2983 dont agree own both giant frame is lighter n 2 year now no problem with press fit still going strong put around 4500 miles .
@@shaymtbrider7244 Lighter = better.
Threaded B.B. = Better.
