Next I moved to the finger joiner. ( 35mm American Cherry ) After setting up the bit, and the fence, I made the cut in 2 passes. From the bottom bearing to the edge of the cutter is 5mm, so I decided on 2x 2.5mm passes. Just line up the front of the fence with the front cutting edge of the bit and then come back 2.5mm on the positioner. The first pass was faultless and also the second. ( after moving the positioner out to 5mm ) I was left with a perfect finger joint, and no sign of the AEG slowing down.
