So to the cut, 5mm x 5mm rabbet.( 18mm Beech and 13,000 rpm) Adjust the lifter 3 turns + 4 increments, kiss calibrate the LS Positioner to the front of the bit, move out 5mm and make the cut. The cut was smooth but with some tear out. So, I dropped the cut 1mm ( ½ turn + 4 increments ) and widened it ( 1mm on the positioner ) and ended up with a perfect 6mm x6mm rabbet -- and fast.

I noted that the workpiece hung up a couple of times on the trailing edge of the bit recess in the fence. Is that a common problem with the Wonder Fence? I'm "wondering" whether adding a light chamfer to the corner might be useful. All three of these seem like good investments regardless.
