Well done Bobby and Laura! Fantastic video and editing. So nice of you willing to help the suffering people in the Bahamas. So sad to see the catastrophic damage done there. I pray for all the people there. Thanks for all your doing Bobby!!!
Glad you are going to be able to help with the terrible situation in the Bahamas. In fact all the sailing vlogs I watch are reaching out and help to direct their subscribers to agencies helping. Another place I got to see with your help. Thanks.
Great episode! Learning about these off-the-beaten-track places is why people are so attracted by what you are doing. Thank you, Bobby & Laura, for sharing those experiences with us, and the people and personalities you encounter along the way. Blessings! TN
Never commented before. Probably wont again unless I suddenly feel the need. Who knows. Mr. Doodles (saying Bobby seems too familiar and we aren’t, at least on your part) I have seen you grow, in production of quality and content on this channel over the years. Remarkably so in the last six viewing months. Keep up the outstanding work. You have provided me with countless hours of adventure, entertainment and seeing other parts of this world I would have never ventured to and I would like to say… Thank You! I admire your “Grit”. Said you can’t fly… you went sailing. If they ever tell you that you can’t sail, I would suggest Ballooning. Can’t do that, go Spelunking. I will still be here watching (as long as I am still here). In short… Don’t stop. I enjoy this and look forward to it.
I've been following your channel for a while now and it keeps getting better. The photography is great and your narration has gotten noticeably better and better with each new video. I LOVE boats but have never been able to afford one. Watching your channel is a lot of fun. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
Keep going man, been following your channel and saw you go through bad days before. The universe will balance things out eventually… Marc Andre from Montreal Canada.
If i ever was lucky enough to make it to Greece, I would not be able to leave until Iv been to Athens, Sparta and Thermopylae! Birth place of Democracy! Country of true courage!
The skipper played that mooring wrong with that wind blowing the boat sideways to the mooring spot. Stern into the wind and cut it in with plenty of water passing the rudder. You guys should do a tutorial on that. Because I'll bet plenty of non-charter skippers wouldn't have that one locked in on the first try. Mooring easy! Then add wind and it becomes a dock party.
I know haven't been a around for a while but your videos are so great. Just wanted to say that and it's so beautiful what videos you submit. Thank you and good voyages from here. Thanks for mentioning the Bahamas I have a friend born there and he is so really concerned.
Dude! this is one of the best videos. Really like the tour, the pace of the video, the music, the views, information, etc. Really great. I am still jealous of your work. Have fun. Hope to see you in Thailand soon. Maybe when I move over to Phuket we can go out for some sailing and diving. Until then......
Great video, again, Bobby. Loved the sunken city. Keep up the great vids. Cant wait for another journey across the Pacific type video series. I truly enjoyed that trek.
Hey Bobby, great video (as usual). Good call on the block and tackle arrangement. I'd bet donuts to dollars it was probably rigged like that in the past, got changed one day and forgotten about. I do want to to dive into the block & tackle thing a little deeper to clarify something I suspect you know already, but newer sailors might not have picked up on yet. You do not change the amount of work you do when you improve your mechanical advantage. If you lift a 200 pound dinghy five feet up, whether by a single line attached to the dinghy or a 4:1 block and tackle, you are doing the same amount of 'work'. When you go to a 4:1 (as an example, and only 1 tackle in this scenario) you change the force required from 200 lbs. to pull the dinghy up to just 50 lbs. (4 x 50 lbs. = 200 lbs.) The mechanical advantage allows a smaller force to do the same amount of work. The trade off is that it will take four times longer to raise the dinghy up. It's the same principle as motors. If you want more speed, you have to give up some torque, and vice versa. This is why you'll see a lot of block and tackles on boats. More common on small boats, as at a certain point winches become more advantageous. Also, some applications are not as safe with block and tackle as in headsail sheets. Back in the day it used to be done, but clews were much higher off of decks. Too have a block and two or three lines flapping around on a luffing headsail in a 15 knots is dangerous. OK, so that ends today's lecture. Keep up the good work, Ive been enjoying your channel for over three years now I think. Pretty much from the beginning at any rate. Steve, SV Jen Chelsea.
If you wondered 10 years in Greece, you would only see 5%, everywhere you go, you'll will find people who are hospitable and willing to help, plus! how cheap is the wine, and I recommend Tsipouro, or Raki, which is Greek Mooshine. enjoy your stay come back anytime, we love tourists like yourself, great video and drone footage. Thank You for you kind words.
ha, yall called it a shit show. Sounds like my kind of fun. For real, my wife and I love your content. we actually just found yall like a month ago and we are already on S4:22. So much content. So far, this is our favorite season. However, the pacific crossing is and maybe really close.
I’ve been watching this channel For a while hope to see more coming and good luck for both of you guys, sometime is better to go different ways, Peace ☮️
actually the process you describe lifting the "dinghy" is an invention which is sometimes attributed to Archimedes, who was from ... Greece ... oh no from Syracuse, but close enough.
Sooooo Dylan, good job with the med mooring, much better than St. Andrews Marina, first time you attempted backing into a slip... LOL... charter boats... LOL. Our dinghy is Okay by the way!! Much Love Holly and Jerrod

Dennis no they didn’t. Climate issues are created naturally, or by man-made industrial destruction of the atmosphere. The natural version occurs over thousands or millions of years while the man-made version over hundreds. There are lots of similar situations on the rest of the coast of Greece and the coast of Turkey. Some port cities are now high and dry so there are lots of factors involved in all of this. The Naval shipyard of fifth century Athens is half underwater and half way above but most people drive by without a clue.
Where is it written that just because someone gains a little celebrity they are obligated to detail every aspect of thier personal lives? If they wish to, fine, but they owe nobody anything. Perhaps thanks for watching thier video, movie, tv show or whatever. Mind your own personal lives.
@@Sailingdoodles I guess this type of celebrity is a bit different than one would get being a TV or movie star. It's a bit more personal thanks to the technology and your accessibility online.
