- Come check out my studio with me! Today I’m giving you a really detailed tour of my studio! And, introducing you to my inner circle. I also realize that I may have a major spending problem. And, a near-future, big, sweepstakes giveaway is revealed!
I’m going to show you every square inch of my studio! And, I am also introducing you to my inner-circle! My dog, Oprah (yes, like "Oprah Winfrey"); my son's cat, Kit Kat (or "Ki-Ki" as we call him); & my heart; my adorable & precious son, John Griff!
I feel like this tour gives a false impression of me -that I'm a super clean & organized person in general, which I am not! I have so much stuff that it forces me to be organized IN my studio... If this studio was not organized, it'd make my life a living nightmare! I'd pull all of my hair out just trying to locate a specific item!
I've also come to a revelation that I just may have a major spending problem! In the tour I jokingly say that I will consider getting help! After watching this video, I'm not sure that it's still a joke! However, in my defense, most of the newer items were purchased strictly for upcoming tutorials. The rest of it (candles, ribbons, packaging, etc.) was purchased a long time ago. So if anything, I USED to have a major spending problem! lol
And, as you found out, I am planning a 10,000 subscribers give-away (once I hit 10k subs, I'll do a sweepstakes & then pick 3 lucky winners that will win all sorts of stuff that I made)! I really thought I had more time to hit 10k subs, but it's creeping up faster & faster- hooray! I'm not complaining, I'm just pleasantly surprised!
UPDATE: I never did the giveaway. Hurricane Ida hit & the power was out for 8 days. Most items were changed after that & what the power didn't ruin, time sure did. I just didn't feel as though I could send out those items with pride. Something I feel strongly about is "if it has my name on it, it's got to be perfect!"

I love your studio.. Dora I only watch your videos. You make it simple even a 74 year old woman like me can make it.. You are so organized, that's what makes it you.. OMGoodness forgot to mention~ THANKS for the Dehumidifier tip~! I have to empty EVERY DAMN DAY~! This is a Mind Blown~!
I had to empty that mug 2xs per day when water was draining in that small ass tank! I was like “nope, not for me!” So then I read the manual & it said I could attach the hose… that’s when I grabbed my 5 gallon bucket! Now it’s only every 3 days!
So cut and I love how organized it is and also it’s not small it’s perfect!
There you are, your late lil missy. LOL I am the same way I spend money but then box it all up. I would love to play in your playtime area. Ha, I'm scared to death of Lye so I don't think I will ever fool w CP soap, I'm a chicken. I'm a crafter of anything and everything. You would fall over if you saw my work area. Me and my kids made soy candles about 10 or so years ago, We loved it, It's sooo fun, but I couldn't sell them for nothing, I gave a lot away but try and sell nobody wanted to buy them, I even took them to a craft fair. I sold one and my friend bought it. When I moved out of my house I left about 500 in my basement. John is just precious.
PAM! Happy to see you, right on time! lol Thank you! I love my lil man to death! I love to play in my studio, too! My opinion: make your workspace as nice & inviting as possible- that way you're more likely to go in and make something! Candles were my thing a few years ago... now all that stuff is just taking up space! I need to try & sell it! I'm apprehensive about it bc I know nothing about it PLUS it scares me, too. That's why I keep putting off, putting it off! I need to just get off my butt & make it already!

Thanks for sharing! My space is about 10x10. Most definitely need to organize, or I would be forever searching! And OMGoodness! I had the white/gold bedroom furniture, dressers, makeup stand w/ wire backed chair when growing up!!! I gave the set to my daughter and then gave it to a friend of the family! We think alike, I have my micas, glitter, etc. organized like you and use the sterilite drawers too 😯 We must be sisters somehow 😅😂💕
Yes, I LOVE that look - that old-time vintage, Victorian furniture. That 1 piece doesn't match the rest tho, but I needed something else to put all my bags & bags in! lol

Omg you’re so right about the organization. We were moving and I would reorder stuff bc I couldn’t find it. Now it’s easier. Marie from @humblebeeandme adds tiny labels to the fragrance/EO CAPS! I thought that was genious so now they can be in a “pull out” type drawer. No more bending or digging… In a dream world I I want to have all my stuff in cabinets with “pull out” drawers.. except for the colors… those I want in open shelves.
Pull out drawers, now there's a thought. I do have my fragrances organized in the big cabinet. They all have a color on the lid that corresponds to the same color label in the very front. So all "floral", "citrus", "desserts", etc. are together in the same row.

I totally loved this video! You know why?.....because I can relate & now I don’t feel so alone! Hahhaha....I’ve been called a box hoarder, a crow (for I have many shiny glitters, ribbons, buttons & what nots), & a craft addict hahaha....I love how well you’ve utilized & organized every nook & cranny of your space. 👍🏻....also loved the cameos by John & the fur babies....is Oprah a Maltese? I feel better now that I’ve posted it, too. All the feedback let’s me know I’m not crazy & other people have tons of junk they’ll never use too! Oprah is supposedly a Maltese & poodle (multipoo). Everyone tells me she’s something different! So I don’t know. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video!

Lol I’m also at the stage where I see videos and I’m like oh yes. I’m making this. Buy the stuff. The stuff comes in. I put it away. Look at another video buy more stuff. Put it away. Forget that I bought it, buy it again, and don’t make it. I’m also working 16 hour days. Work is short staffed right now. Any helpful hints on how to organize and remember what I bought?

Ohh….this hobby is an obsession….I am a medical profession who “dabbles” in DiY With a touch of traditional Chinese medicine’, herbalism, and Ayurvedic treatment…..so my room ;looks like your but with every herb, essential oil…… as long as they are ethically sourced and legal…….I can relate …you have more in color at then me. I would love to sale products but fearful it would impact negatively impact my medical practice or open me up to law suits ….
I know how you feel! People complain all the time about certain ingredients & colorants that I use… I definitely wouldn’t want to deal with all that on the sales end

This is part of the house, kind of. There’s the house, then the garage, then this room. So it’s like it’s own space but technically, it’s hooked on to the house

What's the software you use to keep track of things. I work full time and run my soap business and have a hard time keeping up with tasks.
I use Microsoft 1note (onenote). That program is ah-mazing! You can open as many notebooks as you want. Each notebook has tabs. Within the tabs, there’s folders & sub-folders. So everything stays very neat & organized. Plus, you can write in it just like a notebook, take voice memos, add pictures, etc.. It rocks!

@@CreativeBathLab i know what you mean, i love crafting . weird cuz when i was younger, am now 57. i did not! not a bit, had no parience. still dont, well maybe a little. i found a couple things i love to do, and would love to have a room full of supplies, BUT i sell my goods. mainly cuz i dont like clutter. even organized clutter makes me nuts!...and then i use that money for new supplies. it makes me feel less guilty, cuz i know at least i do have other things i could buy, or better yet to save more!
