Thank you for acknowledging the lukewarm milk based drink issue. While i understand and appreciate the fact that you wanted to ship the machine asap most of us who preordered the machine will be put of our return wondow by the time the proppsed april OTA update occurs. I would ask that we get our return window exteded to atleast a week after the new OTA update because, I have been waiting months for this machine to ship and would be disappointed if I end up with a machine that does not meet my expectations.
I returned mine because of the milk temperature. CS told me there was no way to get the milk warmer. Hopefully they can fix it for all current and future owners, but if it actually gets fixed I'm a little annoyed that I returned my machine and lost pre order pricing.
This is clearly the most common complaint from early adopters. I'm surprised it was released without addressing this issue first. There is simply no way that the TK team thought the temperature was acceptable... I think they just released it to please customers too soon. Hopefully the issue can be solved with an OTA update and it isn't a hardware limitation... Or they will have a lot of angry customers with pre-ordered units that are beyond their return window. That said, I've had a wonderful experience with customer service so I choose to be trusting of their promise in the April update solving the temp issue. 🤞
I noticed the machine, particularly in the morning at start up but also randomly throughout the day does a flush cycle on it's own. It's one of the reasons I've not done the Wake and Brew (because I wouldn't want the flush in my morning coffee). Perhaps a future option might be to set when flushes occur rather than what seems to be start-up and then random. Also, I keep a cup for just the water the system flushes out otherwise the drip tray would be really full every day (I'm still cleaning it out once a day).
I’d guess that the “random” one you’re seeing is actually the 5 hour timeout one, the machine will only stay on for 5 hours before cleaning and turning off if not used during that time.
Hello, we have an update for ya! The automatic rinse cycles are meant to flush any coffee residue out of the brew path and prime the tubing before your first brew of the day. While this feature can't be turned off, our team is looking into ways to make this feature more customizable in the future!
Thank you for doing this video. This was great! Addressed every single question/concern I have with my tk02. It was a hard decision to keep my machine past the 30 day trial period or not. Because I felt all the minor gripes added up were a concern. But I have faith that Terra Kaffe will continue to improve the ,aching with software updates.
Please work on time to heat between cups of coffee. Noticeably much much slower than TK01 even when only a short time between cups. I understand that u are working on the temp issue - we have 170 deg or less at the TK02 spout even though temp is set to 202. While u mentioned that the element is where the temp is set, I have a hard time believing that there is a 32 degree loss in the system piping. It's never getting to 202. Love our TK01, hoping to love our TK02!
Thank you for giving an update. Please also talk about the volume parameters. For example, largest drip coffee is currently 8.4oz. What was promised was 15oz. Increasing serving size does not address this issue. For example, what I want is 10g of coffee and 12-14oz of water in a single serving. While this ratio may seem high, it is not for drip coffee. Please fix this.
Love this session as it addressed all of the concerns I've had with the machine. It's truly the Tesla of superautomatic coffee machines with OTA updates actually improving it over time. We just have to be patient as it's put into place and the concerns or wishes we have for it are worked on. So far, I'm absolutely stunned by the quality of the drinks and the team's replies to the few questions I've had. Thank you, TK-Team! Keep up the excellent work.
So glad to hear you are addressing the temperature issue. Its the one deal breaker for me that holds me back from recommending it. I have to microwave every beverage I make at this point. My other big issue is trying to keep the pull out drip tray clean. There are so many nooks and cranies in the tray that it makes it impossible to clean. And it says its not dishwasher safe, so that means i am constantly trying to get into the nooks to attempt to make it look clean. Not sure why the tray isn't more flat inside to make cleaning it easier. Thanks for being interested in making the machine better!
I've used a temporary fix for the not-hot-enough milk issue by starting the whole process with 2-3 oz of hot water before I make my milk-based drink. It isn't ideal, but it makes the drink hotter and keeps it hot while I'm slowly enjoying it.
This was great!! You answered so many questions I was already thinking about and had concerns of. It makes me feel even more confident that I made a good decision to buying a TK-02. I look forward to more Friday questions and updates!

We have an update for ya! Start by turning the dial all the way the left for steamed milk. Once that milk has been warmed by the machine, you can turn the dial all the way to the right, and use that steamed milk in your milk-based drinks.
❤ my tk-02. I think it's tough to get our drinks super hot esp using cold milk. 30sec. in the microwave doesn't really bother me. I just wish the milk container was made of steel or glass instead of plastic. and hope you guys sell milk hose online...i may need a replacement.
the wake-up-to brew function is awesome! I set a wake up at 6:05 AM for an Americano; its awesome. to do this you have to "sleep" the machine at night to run a clean cycle, then in the morning set the time, and the brew you want.
My husband drinks drip coffee I drink milk-based drinks. I won't complain about the temperature. I know you guys are working on it. I am still getting a lot of coffee grounds in the tray from the husband's drip coffee. I have changed the amount of coffee he uses, but there are still many grounds. What can I do?

We totally hear you Marie! The best way to keep it clean is to rinse it as often as you can. If you let the waste build up overtime it can definitely be harder to clean
It seemed like TK-01 allowed for a larger range of frothing for the milk frother knob (ability to make more frothy milk). Also why did the milk and espresso order change from TK-01 to TK-02. TK-01 cappuccino was also espresso first then milk, now its the opposite, not sure why the change? Lastly, the default espresso settings changed from TK-01 to TK-02 is there a reason for that?
After countless hours of testing, our team found that the above changes allowed for the best tasting drink! We also found the our customers used the espresso setting more which is why we made it first on the list!
Hotter cup is the biggest deal for me. The only other thing I wish it had were two bean hoppers, as the coffee out of the machine is so bloody nice, I want to drink decaf through the rest of the day.
I hated that they had a promo and would not respect the TK2 promo. Also their company is complete trash from Alibaba copy cat machines and charge 2.5-3x more. No thanks. Had the TK 1 broke several times. I don’t trust this company nor their products. Let alone their WORD & R&D!

I would love if my tk02 told me when the water tank is getting low and not just empty. Running out of water mid espresso shot is quite the task of getting it back on track. I’ve noticed the shots after are watered down. You have to do a couple toss shots and then you’re back on track. Such a pain.
Could you address the milk frothing mechanism and how compared to TK01 it basically doesn’t froth milk anymore just puts out hot milk. When the dial is all the way right (frothing) it is *barely* frothed milk.
Can you please focus on improving your customer support? I feel like your founders and team do not care about your early adopters and those who ordered during your pre-orders last year at all! My machine haven’t even shipped yet and support won’t let me change the color! I told them I don’t mind waiting longer but they are telling me that my only option is to cancel my order and reorder at current pricing 😡 Very upsetting!

@terrakaffe I just received my machine… and it looks like I was sent a USED MACHINE! I did not wait 15 months for a used machine. There is visible coffee grounds all over the inside of the box as well as the drip tray and hopper. What is going on?!
Cheryl, I totally understand your concern. In their defence, they put every system through a pre -shipment quality check which means they run beans through the system to make sure everything works. I'm very happy they do this, so we don't receive non-working units, but I think they may have simply done a poor job cleaning your unit afterwards.
Why call it Feedback Friday if it's not every Friday? Seems a little silly. There are so many excited and loyal TK customers on here just waiting for the updates to solve the big issues. If it's going to take more time we at least want to be kept in the loop. I think most people have kept their machines beyond their return window simply because they have faith that TK will fix the issues with OTA updates.
Machine is great! But when I need help resolving issues with the grinder…. I can’t seem to get help! The I’m so sorry correspondence is driving me crazy! 3 days not coffee!!

Is there a sensor imbedded that will tell us when the beans are low and need to be refilled?
I sent this to them too. They mentioned this is something they hope to have in the future.
As of now there is not, but that is definitely something we can work on!

@@ChanceDaniel1 no. I get random cleaning of the machine where it does a venting out even if it’s hours after I’ve had my last cup of coffee.

My brewer unit is not clicking back into the machine after I cleaned it. I have tried everything. Will try calling customer service.
