the fan grill up top? Not exactly, I unscrewed the three screws from the bottom that attach the divider to the shelf, and then there are four nuts up top connecting it to the ceiling of the case. Once those are off then you will likely need to dremel off the arm/wing that holds it up top. There are wings on both sides, but you only need to dremel the one closest to the panel side of the case. Once that is cut you should be able to wiggle it free. Hope that makes sense.
@@admpain I did something similar to what you mentioned here. I do not remember the exact crews positions, but I just dismantled everything and top shelf went out without breaking anything. For the standoffs, I found the easiest way to remove them is to wiggle them with a pliers. It goes of very easy and clean.
@@plagosus It's been a while since the work so I'm a little fuzzy on it. I probably ran into the problem late in the game and went towards the faster solution in a bit of a panic. Good to know for others that the additional cutting may not be necessary, thanks for the share!
I took out the original PSU and I have a corsair sf750 up top. I had an EVGA Supernova (g3 i think) 750 watt PSU up in earlier versions of this build but it was a tight fit. At one point i did want to try to utilize the original plug from the original mac PSU for a cleaner exterior look, but never got around to soldering the old plug wires.
What a load of crap.
Actually its a computer but I appreciate the feedback
I wish to see the entire video. Super cool mod. Thanks!
@@Bedfford thanks, I show me putting it all together in the part two.

Wery nice, the mod and the presentation (esp the metal mayhem part)!

Anarchy!!!!
Did you just hammer out that divider on the top shelf where the PSU was? I for the life of me can't take it out even after taking out all the screws.
