Fantasy Belmont Stakes Horse Race

Horse Racing Simulation in association with the NTRA and NBC Sports created a virtual simulation of the Belmont Stakes with 10 winners from the last two decades, prior to the 142nd running of the Belmont Stakes on the June 11, 2011 at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York.

Here is the Field:
Lane 1 - A. P. Indy (1992)
Winner of the 1992 Belmont, he is tied for the second fastest Belmont ever run, a time of 2:26 flat. He was also named the 1992 Horse of the Year.
Lane 2 - Editor's Note (1996)
This 1996 Belmont winner amassed earnings of more than $1.6 million in his career.
Lane 3 - Touch Gold (1997)
-In 1997, he won the Belmont Stakes and ended Silver Charm's bid for a Triple Crown.
Lane 4 - Victory Gallop (1998)
-The 1998 Belmont winner, he finished runner up in that year's Kentucky Derby, and later went on to win the award for 1999 American Champion Older Male Horse.
Lane 5 - Lemon Drop Kid (1999)
-This 1999 Belmont winner spoiled Charismatic's hopes for a Triple Crown, he also went on to win American Champion Older Male Horse in 2000..
Lane 6 - Point Given (2001)
-In 2001, he ran the fourth fastest Belmont ever, winning by 12 1/4 lengths over his competition, and he won a total of six grade 1 races in his career.
Lane 7 - Empire Maker (2003)
-Was the 2003 Belmont Stakes winner and previously finished runner up in that year's Kentucky Derby.
-Lane 8 - Afleet Alex (2005)
In winning the 2005 Belmont, this very popular horse ran the fastest last quarter of a mile in over 40 years.
Lane 9 - Rags to Riches (2007)
-In 2007, she defeated eventual Horse of the Year Curlin, and in doing so became the first filly to win the Belmont Stakes in over a century.
Lane 10 - Summer Bird (2009)
-This 2009 Belmont winner went on to win the Travers and Jockey Club Gold Cup and earned 3 year old champion honors for males.

You could have assembled a much better field than this. Where's Secretariat, Seattle Slew and Affirmed? Any Belmont Stakes w/o the IMMORTAL SECRETARIAT, fantasy race or otherwise, is nothing more than a glorified allowance race.
