I just found pork at $0.88lb! This is happening on Swan Hill. I’m so excited, thanks! BTW: I had a jar failure on some ugly chicken last go round, because I thought that one little piece above the line wouldn’t matter-it did. Lesson learned.
Oh my gosh that looks so delicious I am going to be canning some chicken and pork like that I hope mine looks as good as yours thank you so much for these canning videos. You and Lisa I learned so much from you both I know I am 61 years old but they are a lot of things that I never done I do can a lot but it's tomatoes green beans soup beans and all of that good stuff I do beat but I never can a lot of meats I was always afraid to tell canned the ugly chicken and boy did we love it you talking about chicken and dumplings I made it my kids loves chicken and dumplings so that's what went with my ugly chicken and I know. I had to put some back on the Shelf I made chicken noodle soup dumplings and all of that good stuff yes I am canning more chicken Ann canning pork cannot wait I just got to get me some lids for the big mouth and the small mouth jars thank you so much you and Lisa are the sweetest people thank you so so much
This has been on my canning list for a week. Cannot wait! Just canned smoked pork shoulder in spicy broth yesterday, thats one that doesnt stay on our shelf too long
Ugh I decided to do the roast pork in spicy broth (Ball) but spaced out and filled full of ork and broth with one inch headspace. Should I stop and redistribute? What is going to happen? Help!
Pork question here.I have a bunch of country style pork ribs but don't see a lot of info on canning them. Would this recipe work just as well with them? I'm really wondering how the country style ribs can up. TIA
Country style pork ribs are cut from the pork shoulder (aka pork butt). I frequently substitute boneless country pork ribs for pork butt. I cube the boneless country pork ribs and they can up beautifully.
I’m being gifted a whole small hog and thought this would be a great use for it. How did you precook your pork and how did you cut it up for this recipe? Also, do you think my idea will work? I love your channel and have followed you for couple years now🤩
I find I can get a bit more pork in my pint jars if I cut my pork chunks a bit smaller. That way I don't have to remove so much meat if my headspace gets a little dicey.
Did she cook her meat? I don't see many people cook their meat like you do. It's like cooking it twice once it goes into the canner it's basically cooked again.
Hey, anyone have any idea why my canned beans (pinto and navy) have a chlorinated smell and taste? My pinto beans are really strong tasting, almost like I used swimming pool water. We canned them last year, the seals are fine, there is no indication at all of any mold or discoloration and the smell is fine - except for the chlorine smell and taste. The ones my mom canned at the same time are fine. Everything, jars, lids, and rings were brand new, which we washed and sterilized (because I was paranoid during my first canning session ever). We only used plastic utensils that came in contact with anything going inside the jars. We've eaten them several times without any adverse effects. I thought it might be the county tap water, but my mom used it, too without issue. Oh, and we used the same beans from the same batch. We just can't figure it out. 🤷♂️
@@cynthiamullin661 Yeah, it's very odd. I'm still not able to find anything. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I used canning salt, too, not sure if that helps. Thanks anyway for responding, at least I know someone saw my question. :-)

On my to do list for this weekend
I still have not tried the Mississippi pork or beef roasts. Will have to put on my list to try. I think I’ll try them both before canning them.
What is in the broth? Water and spices? Looks good but I don't like the heat. Thanks for sharing and have a Blessed Day!
Have never heard of Mississippi Pork, looks great going to try it, thank you!
I have a 15 lb roast that I just took out today so I need to try this. I may split it between this and the spicy roast.
Can't wait to try this!
There is a video!!! This is why I love you 😀😀😀
This looks great❤❤❤
Will be trying this.
yes, I would love to see a taste test! Looks yummy
Ty for vid and info. A must try.
Can I use better than boullion instead of broth. Do I have to use low sodium broth if that’s in an old recipe
Can't wait to try this. Need to get a Pork roast.
Is t the brine going to change the acidity and require different pressure times
This looks so good. Thank you
Yum! Just yum!
I would love to see how you serve this....thx
Never thought of doing thanks

Did you tell how many pounds of pork you used for this many jars? Thanks!
Love this. Do you trim all fat off the pork prior to cooking, if there is any ?

Could I do this with a beef roast?
Yum! Can’t wait to see what you make with this! What cut of pork did you use?
Looks delicious!

Would have been nice if you would have started from the beginning with the meat.
How do you make that chicken broth?
I never had this, but I'm curious how it will taste.
Looks yummy!
I put Lipton Onion Soup in my beef roast, is that safe or do i need to stop?
Looks delicious
Nothing Like Mississippi Food Baby! O Yea
I watch her too!
I've never had Mississippi Pot Roast, but it sure looks tasty.
pro tip: watch movies on Flixzone. Been using it for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.
@Deacon Shane Yea, been using flixzone} for years myself :)
@Deacon Shane yea, I have been watching on Flixzone} for since november myself :)
Yes please
Looks yummy. I don’t think I would put that many pepperchini in for my taste.
I am 206 ft above sea level. I think that has to do with living directly on the coast! 🤔😳

I prefer par roasting for about 30 min. The jars look better and wash up better when done that way.
I think you could use the meat in Tacos too
Your camera keeps stopping, maybe its a ghost! LOL Looks good, must try!
😂😂
I don’t see recipe posted
Yummm
Yummy!!
I'm hungry now from watching this video.
Haven't heard you mention your husband for a long time is he OK
I got divorced 3 and a 1/2 years ago
