I just got my IRocker Blackfin XL yesterday and I have never been on a SUP in my life, this video was very motivational. I live in Cape Canaveral Florida so hopefully I will be able to find a good community of SUP navigators.
Nice 👍 always good as always. I can’t do the head lamp thing on sup. Too bright on the eyes with the paddle stroke. I attach a light to the camera mount or leave my headlamp on baggage on the front.
Yeah that’s a good point. We also found for generally knowing where you are it was better without the head torch. But there was a lot of shallow rocks which you could only see with it on. And with them all switched off it was too dark for the camera so you didn’t get to see that part!
@@hnewton9 yes 💯. Your absolute right. Coming to shore it’s the only way to see the shallow rocks. I still where a head lamp to turn on incase of approaching boats and also where it backwards for boats to see me from behind if I am paddling into a city Harbour area. Would be nice if more headlamps came in 2600k. Please come to the pacific west coast vancouver island area ! Great multi day exploration park areas.
On day one I was wearing my wetsuit with a palm chinook jacket over the top as I thought we might be swimming when doing the rescue techniques (we didn’t have to swim). And the rest of the time I was wearing a palm cascade dry suit. I was really impressed with it. We will be doing a full video review of the dry suit very soon too so keep an eye out for that if you’re interested in one.
Great video Harry - so nice to meet you on the course and this gives a real flavour of what the Water Skills Academy is all about! :-)
Thanks Sarah! And thanks for the additional footage!
Yeah the video is great. I wish I went! Thanks Reuben
Rubbish! Just an ad for the paddling school. No indication of where the trip went.
This is awesome!

I really enjoyed watching your video. Would love to go on this course
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very interested in this course 👍
Glad to hear you are keen!
Great video!!!
Which Starboard boards do you use in the video? 28' or 30' width?
Thanks. The Starboard's were 14ft with a couple of L sizes (32") and an M size (30") wide. Hope that helps. Thanks, Beau
This looks great. What waterproof kit were you wearing?

Did you put in the long fin?
