Just a sidenote, when making meringue buttercream, make sure that the meringue has cooled down to room temperature, which can be done by whipping it until it's cooled. If the meringue is still warm, it would melt the butter and make the icing soupy. Also, make sure the butter's at room temperature, too. Soft, not too cold nor too hot. You add in chunks one by one so that they get incorporated evenly.
