I am a native son of the northern Appalachian mountains. And as a native, I always admire the deep connection that is sometimes felt between indigenous Americans and those of Norse descent. Two cultures, two peoples, who are very much different and yet understand each other, perhaps largely due to the relationships that were had when vikings came to North America long before Christopher Columbus did, relationships that sparked curiosity between both cultures and at times resulted in friendly trades.

This game has an amazing soundtrack. I just wish it was better implemented within the actual game. For example, have amazing songs like this one playing while exploring. Instead of just having the same few songs playing per region include the soundtracks of other regions and include some randomness. This way you have a larger song variety while exploring. This can be said because the overall soundtrack for Valhalla is very expansive and distinct between songs.
It plays in Fornburg when you go there after you escape from Kjotve's men in the beginning.
This song is absolutely gorgeous. I agree-would have loved a better array of this type of music while exploring & playing.
Or, at the very least-they should have used this song more than once!
Then it would be an over-played background ambient flick.
This use of the song (a one-time appearance at Fornburg arrival and one at the Althing) just adds to its enormous magnificence.
Actually this one works from two sources - first, its ethereal mood catches easily, second - if you are at least a member of Generation Y, it can even bring some 90s nostalgic vibe too (in the 90s 'world music' came into mainstream and LOTS of Norse/Celtic originated music (which sound similar to this track) became pop hits like Enya, The Corrs, not to mention the music of 'Titanic' too :))

I absolutely hate that they didnt play this song more than once in AC valhalla, i love this track so much and it fits perfectly to this game yet they only use it in the beginning when Eivor arrives to Fornburg.

What a beautiful track. Does anyone know, which instrument is used here? I love that sound. It sounds like a string instrument. But I‘m not sure if it is an old, traditional instrument..

Hiya, when you arrive in Fornburg in the prologue. It's after you rescue your crew and jump on a boat for a wee sail.
