This is an EP I recorded in 2008 with the help of Dean McTaggert (producer, engineer, mixing) in Durham, ON and it was mastered by Phil DiMetro at the Lacquer Channel in Mississauga, ON. Cello was performed by Alyssa Wright. These songs were incredibly ambitious for my 17-year old self and were a big departure from the electric blues-rock stuff I was doing previously. I became suddenly obsessed with the music of Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake and Joni Mitchell, focused entirely on improving my singing voice, writing more complex songs and playing exclusively acoustic guitar. It was a radical transition and almost no one believed that I was doing the right thing with my music. It was a lonely time but very important to my development and it set in motion the musician I was to become.
