Idk why this video didn't pop up on my feed. This was really good and informative video. Makes me excited when I go into the next phase. Besides the actuator, have you had any other reliability issues?
Thanks! 👊 I don't really say it in my videos but I think turning on the "notification bell" will help you get notified when I publish new videos. As far as reliability I haven't ran into anything major. The wastegate actuator just needed proper adjustment and my BOV has been acting up but that is specific to the BOV. First it was just the solenoid that crapped out and Forge sent me a new one. Now it seems like the BOV itself is sticking a bit when I ease back into the throttle but nothing crazy and since i'm going 1446+ soon i'm just gonna wait until that goes on and when the BOV is off just re-clean/lube it. I may not drive the car as much as others so I don't have a ton of miles, but also unlike others, when I do, I push it a lot harder than most I think lol So that might even out 😂
Phase 1 made a huge difference, especially when you consider it probably maintains factory reliability and it didn't really cost you much. That appears to be quicker than the ND2 MX5s I've driven. Lighter wheels definitely helped too, but it's a fraction of the difference. I'm wondering what improvement I might see from nothing more than Phase 1, EC intercooler, full Goodwin exhaust, and lighter wheels. I'm a little bummed right now. I was about to pick up a 2019 Abarth, white with red interior and manual gearbox, but it got sold out from under me. :/ I guess the search continues!
@@AlvinBrinson yep. It sucks because I was just waiting for them to detail it and get it back to their lot, and minutes later I got the Dear John about it being sold. Oh well, another will come around.
Red interior? What is red on the interior that you are talking about? I am about to put my 2018 white Abarth up for sale. I currently have the Phase 1, EC Race intercooler, full Goodwin exhaust, and lighter wheels you are wanting already on it.
Hopefully you got one now but from my experience of buying two 124s, a good, clean model sells ridiculously fast for some reason. I've been bummed out several times because of that
What size wheels and tires did you go with? I was thinking of going with a wider wheel on the rear set (like 8.5/9) but keeping the fronts at 7. Any Thoughts?
When I got my OZ Ultraleggera wheels they were only available in 17x7 which is the same size as the Abarth factory wheels. The offset was +37 though, so they pushed them out more (i'm only running a tiny 5mm spacer and they are almost flush). Tires are 245/15/17 (little wider than the 205 stock). The wheels were one of the first mods I did and I was not planning on going all out power/big turbo etc. lol So in hindsights I would have probably went with a wider wheel to fit a wider tire. I'm not familiar with a staggered set up on this car so can't give any input on that.
Keep in mind we’re still only working with a little 1.4L engine, plus the ECU is not the friendliest to tunes. Although knocking off over 2 seconds from only 30-75mph with just bolt-ons & a tune; I wouldn’t call that microscopic. Remember the car only weights about 2,400lbs and it’s all about power to weight ratio. 50whp extra on this car is like 75whp on other modern cars weighting in much heavier.

Great video! Goes over all the crazy amounts of data you have found while on your tuning journey. Very thorough as always 👌.

45 degrees... I miss that
As you may have seen recently on the group, I have learned that "launching" is a highly unreliable thing on the 124 ;) ...
Do you have any AFR data on the phases?
Terribly expensive to tune these snails. Spending thousands of dollars for such microscopic gains. Awesome car, no doubt but.. christ, what a scam
