You can replace Blastoise mains with Greedent mains and (if you're skilled) Crustle mains
For the question of the day, if Blastoise hadn’t took that nerf, I would have immediately put Blastoise. But I’m stuck between it or Greedent, Greedent can last so long it has the potential to deal huge damage

People really sleeping on the Tree he’s so fun tbh, one of my mains and he was great before the buffs but now he can do 80K to 75K damage w a stacked Tree. His healing early game also makes it easier to stack and stay in the fight.

Slowbro has the potential to do the most amount of damage and have The most survivability chance in my opinion if he had an additional 600 life and all spk build Just because his surf and scold do a ton of damage already but he doesn't have the life to do sustain

I've used to go with a similar build, but I changed focus band for the sake of maximizing damage and went with choice specs.
I think doing a damage-based Blastoise build could really work out considering some of blastoise's moves are really strong. Hydro Pump and Rapid Spin is a good combo if you want to attempt to wipe out the other team.
Flail/block snorlax with a scope lens and a focus band. Can put in buddy barrier or razor claw.
venusaur used to be like im the "helicopter helicopter" until blastoise came in like im the "BETTER HELICOPTER HELICOPTER"
Crustle has a lot of damage potential
on objectives
Shell smash+stealth rocks+fluffy tail melts dred in 20 seconds
Try out my mamoswine build I knocked out so many enemies with it and practically turns it into an all-rounder playstyle

Moves:
Ice fang
High Horsepower
So what this set does is do lots of hindrances while outputting big damage
Blastoise with Full stacked Special Attack specs is without a doubt the strongest Defender damage wise.
I’ve been using this set for a while and i am so glad that it’s seeing more usage! It’s absolutely amazing!
I say an underrated pick is snorlax.
Move Build: Flail, Block
Item Build: Attack Weight, Focus Band, Aeos Cookie.
Battle Item: X Speed
The idea is to be a early game bully so you could score 5 points or lower as much as you can in the the first two minutes building your health as you try to level up to gain Flail. Once obtained, you could survive longer in fights as you now have increased attack and health (which having more health makes Flail more stronger)
With Block, you could use X Speed to move your enemies to a wall or Rotom to a bush or anything within the boundaries or your temporary speed boost that could make the difference in a match! Great for pushing Pokémon away for you base too!
So you’ll be rewarded in your damage dealt if you play a more score/ aggressive play style as him! 😁

My top favorite defenders are Mamoswine, Trevenant and Balstoise. Still trying to figure out how to use Covet Belch.
Trevenant built right can always do some serious damage! Was my favourite defender until Baltoise got buffed

I used to play hydro pump and rapid spin blastoise with an insanely high win streak before it got popular and then before it got nerfed. Now I’ll use water spout.

Teeds if you will play decidueye you can go to corner in jungle next to corphish and use unite move to steal zaptos(maybe), becuse some of them must go around to kill you.
I'd still go with my trusty snorlax, the survivability of that beast is insane! At lvl11, his flail gives him lifesteal. Flail also increases damage when the hp is low so having weakness policy is also synergizes with it. If you play dota, snorlax is pretty much like huskar, lowet health means greater damage giving bigger lifesteal, you can literally stay in the field and keep damaging enemies
Blastoise is the best and my favourite defender from the beginning. It is fun to play with blastoise especially with rapid spin and sprouts build

We need more Pokemon (defence, healer, sppedster) I would like to see Turtinator, Buzzwole, Vickavolt, Dragapult, Lycanroc, Metagross, Electavire, Krookodile, Gyrados, Appleton, Gigalieth and many more but not at 10000 coin!

Blastoise and Greedent are insane. Greedent with 100k damage taken, 80k damage done and like 70k healing...
No way you can do that much damage with Greedent

Fun fact, greedent was once the by far strongest Pokémon, due to ulting and then using belch literally 70+ times with like 200 per hit lol.

Teeds, In a video along time ago, you said "Blastoise, casually take out the entire enemy team as defender!" This aged well. Now its time to do the most damage on your team as defender
Sticking with Surf and Hydro Pump, even if the other set is apparently much better. Also replace Energy Ampliflier with Choice Specs, and that's my set. Also Pokebuki Blastoise is sweet.

Crustle does a disgusting amount of damage. Xscissor shreds, but mostly its stealth rocks. If the enemies just stand in it they die. Every time

Ooh I’ve started to main blastoise myself and won games in masters. I been using about the same moves as this build but choice specs over energy amp. But that’s because I didn’t consider it, energy amp sounds very fun 🤔

As a Blastoise main, it was awesome to see you have so much fun with it. I am definitely going to give this build a go. Would love to get that 1 v 5 KO. I’ve used for the longest time Sp. Atk Specs, Score Shield and Buddy Barrier. I had to play them differently now they don’t stack but it still works for me.
Also just wanted to say I’m a recent subscriber and am loving your content! It’s so light hearted and makes me smile which helps with the frustration unite can bring you. Keep it up Teeds 👍🏻

Attack wise it's Blastoise for me.
But if pure defending, my go to is Trev and Mamo, those two are very dependable at defending teammates.
I was having a rough day at work and this made me feel better, thanks Teeds!

It has been nerfed, but I don't think the nerfs was too severe, it has been my experience that Blastoise is still the definition of a tank:

Ok idk if I was just matched against ppl who weren’t good but I did a 20-25 kill game with crustle as a jungle yes ik what you’ll think: what the hell was I doing in the jungle? Well I called top as usual with crustle but the zaraora was like yk what bell no and went top like damn no one wanted the jungle so yeah i got my shell smash stealth roch super early was like level 10 for first dread and we snowballed them.
Sometimes you get matches where there are like 3 people fighting over jungle and sometimes you get those rare matches where no one takes jungle then you take jungle with something that probably shouldn’t be jungling. 😅
Crustle is under appreciated. He can do insane damage.

Blastoise is really good now. Trevenant as well, but blastoise feels better, maybe because of the rapid spin defense and water spout speed? I love playing mamo but with blastoise you can still get nice wins even when teammates are meh xP
