Best reviews on UA-cam, Matt Watson has some serious competition here :) Hope you guys make it very far with this channel!
Reason for a saloon.
Keep the cold out when you open the boot. Your welcome.
Top review as ever. Seriously under appreciated (you, not the car!)
Those saloon-thingies used to help NVH - no humm from the boot, less tire-noise and a stiffer body with a rectangular stiffness added by the sheetmetal behind the rear seats.
You are dead right: nowadays this is no longer a necessity.
Says me, who in two years of ownership of a hatchback never ever folded down the rear seats (and probably never will ...).
A push from the back is what I want in my car 😂😂😂😂
The 3 series is proper, bloody good. Hard to hate -not so some of it’s owners- ❤️
Nice review. There's a weird stuttering throughout, though, particularly noticeable in exterior segments.
You definitely had a good childhood , just forgot to put in byker Grove
Learned a new word today: “atavistic” 👍🏻
I’ve got a 330e MSport, I do like it but also miss the 5 series I handed back that this replaced. £80 per month BIK so I’ll just shut up and crack on…
Giulia is actually more engaging to drive, feels more balance and agile. I dont get the comment re the engine, the 2.0l in the Giulia is actually more powerful than the 2.0l gasoline engine in the 3 series.
Actually, or in your opinion? 😁
@@marknichol8167 heyy you are a real person! didnt think you would actually reply. the first actually is maybe opinion, but the second actually is... maybe a proper actually? :D
@@geraldsitorus I am. Good answer. Thanks for watching mate. ✊🏻👊🏻
BMW headquarters must look like this:
Engineer: You know what would be a great idea? If we turned the BMW 3 F30 from a sedan into an actually usable liftback that is the exact same, but just with a practical trunk opening, unlike the 5 and 7 series that are bought by business people, 3 series is mostly bought by regular people that will need that trunk space from time to time, but that don't want a wagon.
Boss: Great idea! We'll also separate it from the regular 3 series and call it a 4 series F36 and make it more expensive!
Engineer: ...but that's not the po..
Boss: and then we'll make it into a 4 door coupe with no headspace in the back!
Engineer: wait, what?
Boss: We will in paralel also release the weirdly shaped and way too long Gran tourer's whose sole point is the trunk opening, at a cost of looks, handling and parking space availability
Engineer: Is he even listening to me?
Boss: Finally, we will release the next generation of the 4 series GC with the beaver grills that most people will hate, oh and we will release the regular 3 series, which will keep the normal grills, as a sedan once again, and we will pull the Gran tourers, so that you are forced to buy the beaver grill one if you want a liftback.
Boss: 'you mean "boot", not "trunk". This is why I don't listen to you!"
Can't agree about fun to drive. I had an F30 330d MSport; very fast BUT dead steering, (understandably) front heavy, terrible ride, awful visibility (like peering out of a very deep bathtub)
Didn’t this come out two years ago?
Yes. It’s yet to be discontinued though. So….
Hanson and I 😂😂😂
I thought Audi drivers were king of the outside lane?
I dont understand saloons either, just make it into a fastback/liftback style. I'd pick the estate anyway, I think it looks better personally.
Buy a 4 series grand couo
@@markh4751 they do make more sense than a 3 saloon.
so then ....
Not everyone wants a car to carry your broken furniture after your wife kicks you out for a better man lol
I don’t have time to build furniture, life is short. x Mark.
@@vanaramauk.. Your humour is as dry as a 90 year old fanny.
Love 3 and 4 series and have had 7 over 30 years. But if I'm investing 40k plus it's git to be electric now and a 330e isn't cutting it
Tesla then? 😁
