I know folks tend to steer away from mountune parts because their pricing but damn, when you hold their mounts, shift arm, and that recirc valve you just know you got your money's worth. Have all 3 of those on the ST and they are by far my favorite purchases. The RS shifter also fits in the ST and man, just the perfect combo for some OEM plus feels.
RMM installs are always fun, finally got to mine while also replacing my ripped downpipe mount. I tell everyone to check that if they hear a knock when they shift hard.
Great point, I had all 3 stiff racing mounts in my 18 ST. Way too much vibration, especially when you use the AC in the summer. But damn my car was planted 👌🏼 (I had bilstein coils, rear sway bar and end links).
I would definitely recommend trying an e92 n54 335i build series, I think a lot of people can learn from your skills with a car with a certain "reputation". With MHD the tuneability is massive and would provide a bunch of content for your channel.
Whatever happened to the "22B Sti" build? The last I saw was the video of the initial startup and it not sounding the best and Cameron asking for help from local subie experts.
Another great one! Was hoping you'd have your WGA video up by the time I needed to put mine on for tuning, but that's only a few days away now at this point. Wanted to see if you found a creative solution for the bottom heat shield bolt people seem to struggle with. Anyway, happy modding!
Reach around from the left of the WGA and take a 1/4 drive rachet + t30 socket and you can get it out by hand easy ツ Magnet plus 90 degree pick to get the circlip off and not fall
Dude you need to route to a true vacuum source. I whent a different route and got a 3p hot side with tial flange. I couldn’t hear it with the valve open but once you closed it I could hear it I bought mine with a BOV on it and don’t have an exhaust or a working radio so that’s literally all I get to listen to
Anyone else notice you top the coolant tank off to max, and then after a while it goes to below the min mark but then never leaves that spot? its like it has created a happy spot below min.
Hey...so with that passenger mount, did you get a vibration at idle when your AC was on? my RS vibrates really notably at idle when the AC is running. wondering if the passenger mount would help. Already had the rear one done. Thanks man
rear motor mount for me is right in that middle ground of being able to do it my self or not and no one in my area works on sts so i dont trust them to do it properly
If you're in a state like Commiefornia where you need a CARB # for every f****ng bolt on the car, then I'd say go with a Mishimoto. They're at least CARB certified. Otherwise, Depo, CP-E, Garrett are solid choices.
ST RS Community lets all give cam a SHEEEEEEEESH great video!

I like how you actually explain what you are doing and showing what you are finding

Take off the hood insulation once, really cool turbo noises 😉🐌
Yup! Did this to my ST. Gives you a lot more stututututu.

I got both these on my RS, best explanation of the recirc valve I've seen.

It sound like you have a whistle sound as well, I fixed it with sound suppression chamber.
I like that motor mount upgrade...

Mounting lists a closed deck short and long block for the ST on its website. Any word if that prevents blown head gaskets? Great video.

CPE 3.5 or 5.5 is awesome. Depo is good ive heard too and much cheaper

Depo or an eBay special. It's a part you can totally cheap out on but still have the same reliability and performance of something twice as expensive.
Sounds HOT
Very very expensive car bero
