49:00 There may be a substantial oversight, that description is for Sodium Bentonite, but there is also Calcium Bentonite which is has very different properties. some of those recipes that call for high amounts of bentonite are probably using Ca Bentonite. They have the same base chemical backbone structure but one has Sodium stuffed between the layers which allows very strong water absorption and the other is stuffed with Ca giving it a much more stable physical structure. Sodium bentonite is used for many industrial applications due to its gelling and expansive qualities.

At 30:42 in video he says there’s an additional handout of common glaze ingredients. This has been missed out of the downloadable handout, would it possible to have a copy added to the downloadable list please? Also in the next video part 2 (from 41:05 to 46:10), the discussed glazes he has in his own handout are not in the downloadable version making it hard to follow. I've run across a raku glaze recipe for white crackle that that doesn't have weight or percent on it. Thing is, it adds up to 100, but there is Tin Oxide in it (I believe that's a colorant). I saw the part in the video where Mr. Berneburg discusses this problem, but without his handout I couldn't quite understand it. I'd really appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks for everything y'all do! Recipe: Greatly borate - 65, Tenn. ball clay - 5, Neph. Sy. - 15, Tin oxide - 10, Flint - 5
