I watch Scar my guitar too. He gives these guitars a good review. A good review from you helps me feel a little better about purchasing one myself. Thanks for the review.
Hey! Thanks for checking it out. Yeah - For $150, it’s not bad at all. It’s certainly not the best guitar I’ve ever played, but the fretwork was pretty decent, the tuners were nice and it played well. The pickups are ok, but an upgrade wouldn’t hurt. Cheers!
I bought this guitar as a modding platform. I own 12 guitars. 3 are Leo Jaymz. After modding I now play this guitar 6 times/mo live. I love the neck profile. I prefer a very slim neck & mine came with a medium-slim neck: 0.83" @ fret 1, 0.90" @ fret 12. My Leo Jaymz LP style has an even slimmer neck profile, which is even more comfortable for me. But this neck is comfortable enough that I don't plan on sanding it down, which I do on most of my guitars. I installed stainless steel frets (just to learn how to do that). I installed my set of vintage Gibson mini-humbuckers. I just love how this guitar plays & sounds.
Instead of spending your money on all that chinese junk, you could have had a real SG. Just imagine how much better you'd feel showing up at a gig in front of 500 people who watch you play a real SG, instead of a fake
Perfect guitar for modding and trying new things on! 💯 % For me, that was my Jet guitar. Awesome you got a good player too for Leo Jaymz prices. Cheers!
@@CaptainRon1913 After having my vintage Gibson Les Paul stolen at a gig I refuse to play expensive guitars live. As you probably know, more & more high-profile pros are doing the same thing.
I got one, and the only problem was over cut low E on the nut. Baking soda and super glue to the rescue. I put alnico 2 pickups in mine, and it sounds great. Perfect for old-school doom metal and hard rock. Buy and mod away!
It looks like a Guild S100 with Gibson-like appointments (the stop bar tailpiece and the fret markers) and a headstock shape reminiscent of a Gretsch. All good influences there!

Yeah. Great mod potential on this one for sure!
I prefer the song Caulk & Coal. Great video and playing as always, my man!
🤣 Balk & Bowl is definitely a name I came up with when my mind was running on empty. 🤣 Cheers!

Yeah. That’s true - does kinda have a Polara vibe a bit too. Good point!
Sitting neck dive! I demand that from a good guitar.
