    Erratum: 5:25 The loop is called Trombone loop, NOT priming loop. Some textbooks refer to them interchangeably, which is not correct. The priming loop is the loop formed by the moving replisome when it establishes a primer. For priming loop, see ua-cam.com/video/a60aVk-Zumo/v-deo.htmlsi=tumKJKysR0V9wy8a

    I finally understood something… the primase associated with our helicase is the one making those from the lagging strand, but the leading strand only needs that one primer from the other helicase that is going to the other side, then we slide accordingly, and that’s how the other side of the primers is completed, it’s the same as the leading strand but for the other helicase

      So it’s the fact that the primer creates 3’ to 5’ primers that make us need to have the polymerase act that exact way

    Thanks sir for uploading such wonderful videos ❤️
    Sir, I waana ask a question evenly knowing that it's not related to this but it's urgent to me.
    Q: All the following are components of pre initiation complex except
    1. Enhancers
    2. TF 2D
    3. TATA Box
    4. RNAP 2

      Textbook answer to your question may be, enhancers.
      But in reality, all the choices that you list take part in Pre-Initiation Complex. You should check out the Transcription Playlist for more details: ua-cam.com/play/PL0Ymnd-zt4Ij2VcAOHNUweftSElVsc-MX.html

      @@theCrux sir, it has been asked in medical exam. So, should I challenge this with enhancers as my answer

    thanks for clear explanation of DNA replication sir!
    How do you think about the quote "thrombone model suggest that in the DNA replication progress, both DNA polymerase on the lagging strand and leading strand move toward the same direction"?
    One of my teachers have explained the trombone model as the quote ,but it does not seem like the quote really in your video and the other videos on youtube that explain the model. 😐

    • @theCrux
      @theCrux  2 роки тому +1

      The overall complex moves in the same direction i.e. the replisome. The movement in the quote you mention, only refers to the movement of the entire replisome "complex", and not the DNA "synthesis" direction.

    I thought the priming loop was the loop formed by DnaG? It's the same as the Trombone loop?

    • @theCrux
      @theCrux  12 днів тому +1

      You are Correct! Priming loop and Trombone loop are different. However, some textbooks refer to them interchangeably which is not true. The loop discussed here is Trombone loop, not Priming loop. Thanks for catching this. I will post an erratum on this :)
