    2-4 kg rod can handle everything. I've caught a couple of 78 cm Kingies land-based on bream 2.5inch Zman Slim Swinz lures in Botany bay no problems at all you need a landing net of course to land the fish

      That’s a great catch mate, you can definitely pull in some big ones on a lighter rod.

    Hey mate, great video. Do you know of any spots for squid within the hacking? I’ve got a kayak so I can’t get outside (typically fish gunnamatta which is closest and safest for me) same for flathead spots? New to fishing and loving it so far.

      Hey great to have you here and hope your enjoying the content :)
      Squid spots - Salmon Haul is best from where you launch and oak park. Samon Haul is the closer one.
      Flathead - Fish the east side of gunnamatta along the sand banks where it drops off all the way up to the mouth of gunnamatta :) enjoy :)

    I just bought a shimano 5 tp 10kg rod and daiwa lagoona 4000 I'm using 15 lb braid is this a good combo?

      What’s the model of the rod? 4000 reel and 15lb braid is okay, 4000 reels you could go up to 30lb if you wanted. Depends on what you’re targeting?

      @ReelFishing765 yeah it's a 5 to 10 kg, I should have done 20lb braid

      @@radstar2185 Yeah I would suggest that but also at the same time I wouldn't do that till the braid is frayed and discoloured (which should be in a few months depending on use.
