- Maryland Democrats chose their Senate nominee Tuesday after a contentious primary race, with Prince George's County executive Angela Alsobrooks prevailing in the contest. She now faces former Gov. Larry Hogan, who easily cruised to victory in the Republican primary. CBS News congressional correspondent Scott MacFarlane breaks down what it means for the Senate's future.

@FJB-TRUMP2024 it sucks because it seems there no real way to flip maryland republican because the democrats have brainwashed marylands citizens into thinking the government can just pay for everything meanwhile the people who are in the working class are paying for all these low class people in Baltimore and the surrounding areas that are all on drugs, our taxes in md go to so many different drug programs as well as section 8 housing, ebt, it crazy how growing up in that situation has changed me. I never want a thing from the state. I just wish they wouldn't take from me.

I didnt vote in the primaries because every republican in md already knows they dont have a shot at getting a decent representative for us. Hogan is a democrat in disguise, the only reason some people will vote for him is to stay loyal to the republican party.

He has to be doing some form of Hallucinogenic, How else do you explain the cowardice with his changing stance on Trump. He knows what Trump is, but has tied his political fortune to Trump, my most fervent hope, Trump is in Jail by November (pipe dream I know, but its a dream) And Lindsey Graham is taught a lesson in courage, by losing the election because of his Cowardice, same gots for Ted Cruz, and a number of other Republican (not) candidates that have endorsed Trump, and have gone maga. I believe most of the country has finally come around to the fact that Trump is nothing more than a mob boss, and as soon as his money runs out, he'll be going to jail for a very long time. (I hope, he certainly deserves it) These guys don't follow the constitution, they follow "whats in it for me?) Sick and tired of this crap, they do nothing, make millions, and are cowards to boot...nothing, in my mind, is more anti-American than that.
I am an Independant and always have been. You are a good guy Larry and I voted for you when I lived in Maryland. Given the state of the Republican Party, I cannot in good conscious vote for any Republican, and neither can my friends in Maryland. Vote BLUE down the ballot in 2024!

Larry Hogan was a really good governor and is a really good person, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he did. Very inspiring story for Angela Alsobrooks though given she won in an upset in the Democratic primary.
Hogan completely botched the Covid vaccine. Virginia had people vaccinated two months before Maryland.
I rather a Democrat win but if it has to be a republican at least it's a normal person like Hogan.

Baltimore has always had tons of money & tourists compared to places in PG County that can't get a dime for broken streetlights & potholes that cause regular accidents every other day. Not saying there aren't parts of Baltimore that aren't run down, but there are places in Maryland that would feel blessed with Baltimore money. I think what everyone wants is Annapolis money, but sadly no one will get it except the 1% in historic Annapolis with their multi million dollar homes (which is why that's where the governor lives).
Annapolis has been going downhill. There liberal policies are starting to catch up with them. Im starting to see more homeless in Annapolis which never happens
@mac11daddy6 some parts of Annapolis struggled like Baltimore (the "unseen by tourist" areas), but I'd be surprised to see them let the historic district fall. They were more likely to fix cobblestones there than potholes everywhere else. It was kinda infuriating, ngl
