Awesome video! I really want to get started with hot tent camping, looks like alot of fun. Love the late season flintlock here in PA! Nice deer and dinner looked great!
Hey John! Great hunt, good shot, and congratulations! Thanks for sharing. I’m trying to get my last doe with a recurve, so hard to see them in daylight in late season. I’m shooting good for only a month with the new bow, need some luck now.
Nice video and a great hunt with the flintlock. I love it. I'm in Northeast PA and it's just been too cold for me to get out so far. Maybe this next week I'll be able to get out.
Awesome video my man! Glad for all the content you managed to capture. I know it's not easy!! Great shot, I shoot small ones over big ones anyhow over unpopular opinion.
Thanks man! Doing a video is a lot of work and makes the hunting much more challenging. The small ones do taste better and its generally better for the deer heard by leaving the breeder does alone.
Congratulations! We hunted winter archery growing up. We were very excited when flintlock season showed up. No more frozen right hand, lol. Nice cinematography. How’d you keep the drone batteries from dying in the cold?
No frozen right hand or worries about not being able to pull the bow back. I’ve ran into that too archery hunting late season. I kept the batteries in my pocket with hot hands. Kept them warm until I launched the drone. Then had about 15-20 minutes before batteries got low. First time I tried to fly the drone in the winter it wouldn’t even take off because the battery was too cold.
It’s the medium sized one. It works great keeping the tent cozy. It was in the low 30s outside. I had to feed it about every 2-3 hours overnight so I would wake up a little cold when the fire burned down. It’s a great stove besides it is heavy. If you want lightweight, I think the pomolly is lighter.
This was an awesome video! I'm inspired by the hot tent for late season. With your stove, did you run a flashing kit or just run single wall through the stove jack on the tent? I'm looking at the winnerwell in medium or large. The large fits 16 inch pieces of wood, which is appealing. Thanks and awesome video!

Anything with a flintlock is a trophy. Great video!
Great combination, hot tent camping, and flintlock hunting 👌
@@enjoytheoutdoors101 I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile just didn’t have the right combination of snow, and the time off.

Congratulations! Well done all the way around. Enjoyed the addition of drone footage.
Thanks, the drone definitely helps show off our beautiful woods.
nice video. love late season flintlock season. Hot tenting makes it even better.
That’s awesome man, great video!!
Cool hunt man!! Congratulations on your flintlock doe.
Awesome video. That’s definitely not a yearling but fawns are great eating and still a trophy when you hunt like that!
Excellent video, congratulations!
Great video and hunt! There's nothing like fresh backstraps cooked over a fire. ✝️👍
Thanks for watching! I agree it was delicious!

Good luck Scott! I heard you got a recurve. It is tough but very rewarding when you connect!
Nice hunt John, congratulations on your doe!

@@437AlBig I’ve been suffering the cold. It has been brutal. Hopefully some warmer weather is coming.

Great effort and hunt congrats !
Very cool video. Congratulations.
Great video
You can't get any fresher meat than that!! Congrats on your doe! Those flintlocks are finicky! Don't ask me how I know!!
Yeah they are! I generally have at least one mess up per year from them. Getting better at learning how to get it to go off.
Excellent time in the woods !

Awesome!!!
Assuming you used a drone for the aerial footage?
Awesome hunt. Tell us about your gun and load ,bullet selection. Powder charge?
Thanks for watching. I am using a Traditions 50 cal. Patch and round ball. 80 grains of 3F in the barrell and 4F in the flash pan.
What load was you shooting.? Round ball or something else?
80 grains of 3f and patch and ball.
No orange required in PA?
Only for small game, or rifle. Not required for flintlock or archery.
Awesome video! What size Winnerwell Nomad stove is that? I’m looking on getting the same tent, did the stove do the job on that frigid night? Thanks.

And... Did you need to buy extra sections of single wall to get high enough in the rock fortress?
I did just the single wall chimney through the tent jack. It is long enough for that tent without needing extra sections. Thanks!
Good hunt and video! Looks like a great time!
@@robertredinger9991 thanks! It was a fun time and will be a great memory.
Everything was great except for the paper plate
