    At first glance there are things to consider. Like choosing Not to reload later in the day. That i hadn't ever thought of.
    With a modern 12 or 20 Guage one would simply walk to your vehicle and unload the cartridges to make Safe for the ride Home.
    I learned some things and enjoyed your video. Best Wishes from Montana!

    I'm inspired! Thanks for sharing your hunt with us. I reload 12 gauge hulls with Pyrodex and shot for my old break action shotgun. I recently got some "permanent" all brass casings from MagTech and have a few of them loded up too. I'm off to get some small game with those Monday. One of these days, I'll get my flintlock operating and then have some real fun. Thanks again for letting me tag along.

    I had issues with donut patterns when loading with the nitro card fiber wad and then shot. I resolved this by adding an overshot card between cushion wad and shot. You may not be experiencing this as I was. Just thought I would let you know in case you run across some one that is you may pass the information. You may want to try it. It greatly increased my pattern density. I know for me with a cylinder bore I need all the help I can get. I have taken quite a few squirrels with mine since swapping to this technique. Hope you find some good in this. Great Video

      Thanks for the tips. I have the same problem at times . Seems like it got better when I increased the powder amount a little

      I have been having some good success with powder, over powder wad, felt wad, over powder wad then shot and over shot card. The wad seems to provide a cushion of sorts. Patterns have tightened up quite a bit without the hole.

    Great video dude but at a glance you look exactly like sage smoke survival, I thought he had finally made his way into the 18th century hahaha... beautiful smooth bore by the way. 🤙🤙

    Good to have you back brother. I was beginning to think you'd given up on Black Powder?

      Hi! For larger small game I’ve been loading 70gr of 3f goex black powder, with 1 -1/8 oz of 7 shot.

      Back home I have to wear it still and I did on part of this trip. Depended where we were. I usually wear a large neckerchief draped over my shoulder like a small cape

      Thanks for sharing but I have been researching this for several years. I admit some might not be perfect. I never said that it was. And without a reference to what you are talking about I can’t really say 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Could you give a resource where to purchase your buff and green wool hunting jackets. I like that style a lot

    • @nathanjeffery3059
      @nathanjeffery3059  3 дні тому

      I sewed them myself. The green one is called a “jacket” or “ sleeved waist coat,“. Originals were a bit snug or fitting. I lost a little weight so it’s a little loose on me.
