I picked up the Blade 1x and the Trihawk 3x a while back. I wanted to like the Blade but the prism just confused my vision, everything was about a foot off to the right compared to my non dominant eye. I sold the Blade and put my Romeo 4 back on, much better for 1x target acquisition for me. The Trihawk 3x is an amazing prism sight with just the right magnification and a huge field of view. I liked the 3x so much I bought another for my 15-22.
I have the blade and it's stupidly durable. On a 16" 1/8 twist you can use the vertical bar of the chevron as an upside down iron sight to get hits out to 400 - 600 yards. Wind holds basically become the edges of the chevron corners. Not easy but it works. otherwise I'm a big fan of the bullet rise compensation.
I had the Blade but the size bugged me, I returned it and got a Romeo 5xdr green dot, I still haven't mounted it, I may try to sell it and get the Raider, I really like the redicle in the Swampfox.
Why choose one of these over their red dot, Liberator 2? The Liberator is lighter and has unlimited eye relief, whereas the prism has an eye relief of 3.5".
Believe it or not monstrum tactical 3x magnifier works really well with the blade if you put it in front of the prism, it will work behind but it's not as good.
@mortem-tyrannis yeah these new ones have a large sweet spot so they can match different height optics. And they don't destroy eye relief (surprisingly)
@@mobilegamersunite that's cool, I like their products but I'm not sure on their toughness. I have the ghost red dot and mag, spectre 1-6 lpvo, and a couple of their adjustable mounts 30mm and 1in. Absolutely love the mounts and like the optics just not sure I can trust them in a shtf situation.
All Swampfox discount codes have been disabled! 😢

I have the blade and don’t mind it’s size at all. Still plenty of space for other gear and attachments to the rail..
SABRE is still the best prism they make IMO, its a 5x i believe with a huge field of view
Thanks for doing this comparison.
Was there any noticeable difference in quality of the glass & clarity?
Poll: Would you use a SwampFox optic on your shtf rifle?
Just put one on my rifle today for such an event, it's a 10.5 300blkout and I have one on a foxtrot Mike 16in 556.
4 months late, but yes. I have the 3x Trihawk prism on my rifle.

I would like to see the Swampfox vs Vector Optics Paragon prism optic
Vector GANG
Great optics IMO,

Red dots require batteries. Some people like myself have an astigmatism so we prefer an etched reticle over a projected blob.
Batteries and strength, prisms are tough AF and don't need batteries to have an aiming point like a red dot.
Can you shoot prism with both eyes open?
As long as your ocular lens is adjusted correctly for a true 1x.
u need to do a lawn vid i need tips

Yeah unfortunately all discount codes have been disabled. They’re moving away from them.

.momstrum has a forward magnifier now that works good 👍 I reviewed it on my armory Playlist 😅
@@mobilegamersunite I've seen them but the regular ones work as well, I just did it. Good if you don't want to buy another magnifier.

@@mortem-tyrannis I've been testing the G3 optics they make, I've seen a G2 work on a 50 cal.
