Asics had a run 8 or 9 years ago with the Gel Lyte III and Gel Lyte V's. Some people kept buying them. It's not like Asics was never popular. Something out of left field would be if Skechers became popular.
Funny how recently I started getting into sneakers, started from Jordan 1 Lows, exploring to Puma and Addidas but nothing really made me interested long enough until I bought my first pair of Asics. Bought Asics Hal Studios Glacier a few months ago and never looked back. Also bought the Asics Costs Shaoji a month ago and planning to buy the Asics NYC Ivy/Smoke Grey next. Asics has really been killing it recently! But I would love to see for Mizuno grow too as well. The Skymedal, Wave Rider and Contender are underrated
This mic is really a quality downgrade, get a boom mic with pop protector something decent. Audio is pretty trash now and it’s very big in the frame, hiding your face
One of my first sneaker purchases was an Adidas Superstar XL- a kind of US dollar green monochrome color! My first pair of superstars in almost 20 years! You’ve proven at least me right with the superstar prediction lol
Do you think Jordan's and Dunks will still be in-style? I am also considering the Balenciaga 3XL $1150 that has the Asics vibe, but not sure if its only a trend.
@@JoshDominic Thanks. I asked because I bought a pair of Prada Downtown sneakers in Purple/White. Its Prada's take on Jordan's. It was on sale for $500 (orig. $1070) and wasn't sure if I should keep or return them. They are very nice and the quality to Nike is top notch.
I think my next cop is in fact going to be NB and not asics but that’s the direction I see myself heading in. I’ll still get my Jordan’s, Kobe’s, and SB’s but only for retail. I want to treat my feet right with comfort I’m gettin old 😂
I wish Adidas would re-release Forrest Hills. I didn't wear anything else but now all my pairs are worn through. Favorite colorway was my first, all white uppers with brown soles and grey 'toe strip'. Going with Busenitz in white/yellow/gum now - very nice sneakers, but maybe a touch 'over-engineered' compared to the Forrest Hills.
Its not adidas hype. People couldnt get the popular dunks or jordans so they went for a cheaper similar style. The biggest trend is retro runners. Bulkier comfortable shoes that pair better with looser pants
I hope the Adidas Samba falls out of trend! I will be the only one wearing them 😅 Im also ready for the foamposite to make its return, i have 3 pair ready to wear 😊
I try out new stuff but at the end of the day mostly return to the things I see myself actually wearing. But over the last year I found some pairs I never thought I would like that are in my current rotation. Like the GTX 6 perfect for the sometimes ruff german winter and the wales boner samba more comfortable than they look. When it comes to predictions I would say that when it comes to brands like Jordan people are getting even more selective with the prices. But there are surprisingly a lot of very solid pairs that are going to be dropping. Shoes that will have a even bigger moment are going to be the UGS (in every variation) a lot of females are wearing them at my Uni. But i do see more people wearing the Adidas Campus than the Samba. I also do think that its an age thing. I do see more teens wearing Jordan 4s and Jordan 1s instead of the 20+ men and women. Boots are returning too not just for woman. (in the 20-25 year demographic where most people around me wear mostly wearing white forces etc) . Interesting takes lets see what this year is gonna be like .
This vid is mainly about sneakers that will be trending I think 4s right now are out of trend even though a lot of great pairs dropping this year that I will be buying for sure
I think Adidas will keep going strong, but emerging ahead of the superhot Sambas will be the Gazelles. I think the Spezials will have a presence, but I think the Gazelles are poised to really take off the way the Sambas have for the past few years. That being said, I am surprised more isn't being made New Balance. Retailers have started pushing the New Balance line in a major way. When you go to the mall, New Balance is occupying the front of the display windows and the front of the store. I think New Balance will have some steady growing hype throughout the year.
The Adidas Superstars actually had a massive popularity spike in Denmark in the last 2 years or so. It got to a point where just about everyone had a pair.
ASICS riding the wave with the big colabs like NB did last year with Kenzo and CP company colabs already announced . Agreed with the colourful trend if we judge from the upcoming Kenzo x asics which as a colab alone , might create a wave of colorful drops across other brands as well . Salehe with NB is within his comfort zone with mixing funky colourways though. same applies for Action as you said . I think ASICS are going to make some moves with Kiko Costandinov this year too . I can’t agree enough with the Velcro doing a comeback . Also I suspect the all black shoe trend is going to take off with highly coveted drops like the black cat 3s. basketball silhouettes like the protro will be the new sneakers thanks mainly to Kobe drops . Adidas will continue the rivalry on that part with fear of god and that basketball signature sneaker the AE 1 that made its debut in December and has Yeezy vibes . Finally I think dressy sneakers will see some form of popularity . Kiko with ASICS already seen pushing the trend with his novalis line since last year , NB is dropping that 99ginger colab with 1906r which is quite dressy looking with a full patent leather and snakeskin patterns and even adidas is showcasing the dressy approach with their first part of their new clot partnership . So there is definitely a dressy sneaker trend building up across brands imo . You get also the first signs of the resurgence of the superstar with adidas from that clot colab . Superstars will be pushed with different colabs and maybe different iterations in 2024 .
also to speak on this video i think we just need the next big collaborator name with sneakers. last gen the undisputed king was kanye , and travis scott has his time with the jordan models but is travis really that relevant anymore? im suprised taylor swift hasnt come out with a collab i feel like that would undoubtedly take the sneaker market by storm (just for her rabid fanbase alone buying up all the stock). The only true contender so far has been action bronson, everything else has kinda been swept away. but i cant be the only one thats sees a travis scott collab and immediately keep scrolling bc like , who cares anymore. ya know?
Yup it’s true, Travis isn’t that big of a name like he used to be a few years ago, but also I think people just getting a bit bored of seeing the same shoes
I’m in wholesale sneaker market in Moscow , and I’m agree with every single word of this man , this is uploaded two months ago and what he predicted was happened really!!!!!! Anybody here from USA sneaker market??? We need to contact
Love this and agree with of your observations but from a European perspective I think sneaker culture will see a greater impacted from European streetwear Nike’s air max 110 (95) and TN’s (plus) will get more love across the pond and Adidas post Kanye will continue to focus on European designer collaboration like Wales Bonner, as well as both Adidas and Puma (Classic suede and Palermo) seeing more success from iconic styles adapted by football, (soccer) terrace culture in the 80’s and early 90’s.
Nah all these shoes look like my dad who used to go for a run in the morning especially ASICS. I’ll keep wearing my skate shoes. You guys can wear the goofy running shoes

I think Mizuno wave rider 10 can be big this year
I started this year too with all the Nike hype shoes but i end up wearing my Saucony 6000s most. Likely will rock the Xmen Asics Beast i got
This mic is really a quality downgrade, get a boom mic with pop protector something decent. Audio is pretty trash now and it’s very big in the frame, hiding your face
just getting used to it, Setup will be changing in the next videos, thanks for feedback though.
I should say I agreed. Previously sounded better
@@JoshDominicI agree bro, love your content but def switch up the mic setup
Love your videos. Always extremely well spoken & editing is 🔥
Thanks a lot
One of my first sneaker purchases was an Adidas Superstar XL- a kind of US dollar green monochrome color! My first pair of superstars in almost 20 years! You’ve proven at least me right with the superstar prediction lol
Im telling you man this is gonna be the year of the superstar
Sambas hype reminds me of the stan smith hype from 2016-2017
Yea it’s kinda true
Love the details as to why it’s a trend
what are those Colourful NB called ....
Yo great video what’s the shoe in the top right corner on the shelf behind ya I’ve been seeing it a lot and can’t find it
Great video you’re one of the few people to actually comment about bidding on stockx .
Great video as usual! What is the name of the sneaker in 2:52 ? 🤔
yes my brother you giving me so much knowledge through your vedio and giving me more more more vedios OK bro...
I'm hoping and wishing Samba is indeed sliding so I can now go in to add to my collection. I don't need to be the trendiest at 65!
Nike Vapor max flyknit, New balance Tiago, and Asics Gel NYC
Asics riding the New Balance wave.
also i think with Saucony is climbing slowly.
What do you think of the ASICS Gel NYC Naruto Uzumaki Shippuden ? I need those in my life.
What about non sneaker footwear? I’ve been leaning more towards loafers, especially square toes. Boots etc, would be cool to see!
Surprised you forgot the Asics Kith Xmen shoes. Likely the best unpackaging n interesting buying.
i was planning to buy a dressier shoe like samba? what do you suggest? gazelle or something else?
Either gazelle or samba are both amazing options
Would you make a wide foot friendly sneakers vid?
I don’t know…I think Travis hype will continue for sure into next year for sure. The shoes just look too good…along with the exclusivity
I think it will continue as well, I know its the same shoe with different colorways, but the fact remains that they look great
I’ve been wearing a lot of Salomon’s lately.
One more thing, what was the name of the brightly colored NB Collabo that is coming out? I Didn't quite catch the name. Thanks!
It’s the Salehe bembury new balance 2002r
Thanks!@@JoshDominic
Gel lyte iii is my new obsession
The xmen ones got me in to it but they will never be hype, they all go on great sales. They will be popular though
Watching the video while Asics gel nimbus 9 on my foot😩
I want Puma to rise, they get no love and I don’t know why
Puma suedes
Picked up some Puma LaFrance 1:1 in baby blue a couple of weeks back. Love 'em.
@@sealow08 they have some y2k rave girl vibes going on 🤙🏻
Totally agree about ASICS
Congrats on the new mic joshhh ;)) 2024 year of the loafers
Thanks Ahmed
I think we'll get NB 1906 fatigue this year,.
Yea I hope they don’t overdo it
Yeeeee JD
Need dem 180z or Sunder
Sunder goes hardddd
Hope PUMA Suede and Clyde gets some love this year ….
The puma suede are very affordable. Was surprised to find a very nice pair for $60
I love my Adidas Kiel. Hope they'd make more colorways this year.
Do you think Jordan's and Dunks will still be in-style? I am also considering the Balenciaga 3XL $1150 that has the Asics vibe, but not sure if its only a trend.
Dunks and Jordans seem to definitely not be style right now, if you still like them wear then them though
Go for the Paul walker in fast and the furious style. a pair of Levis and a shoes like converse, puma or adidas. that is gonna come back..
ASICS has been my favorite sneakers for the las 25 years, durable and comfortable. I fan of the Nimbus
ASICS really gaining lot more popularity now
I think my next cop is in fact going to be NB and not asics but that’s the direction I see myself heading in. I’ll still get my Jordan’s, Kobe’s, and SB’s but only for retail. I want to treat my feet right with comfort I’m gettin old 😂
I feel you on the comfort point
The year of Velcro 😂😂😂😅 I think you’re right Josh although I’m. It a fan!😊
It’s starting to look that way 😅
I wish Adidas would re-release Forrest Hills.
I'm here for this, especially because I find almost every Nike uncomfortable AF
I’m sticking with my New Balance Teddy Santis V6, V4
Its not adidas hype. People couldnt get the popular dunks or jordans so they went for a cheaper similar style. The biggest trend is retro runners. Bulkier comfortable shoes that pair better with looser pants
I wish Nike would bring back prestos and sock darts
love my asics really cool colours and durability awesome reborn
Mine are still clean in 24 Great color way
I hope the Adidas Samba falls out of trend! I will be the only one wearing them 😅
Im also ready for the foamposite to make its return, i have 3 pair ready to wear 😊
Foams are back this year man
Idk about asics mesh runners are kinda loosing its steam.
Doesnt seem that way just yet

haha yea man i noticed you now wearing Salomon and Sambas too, glad you like them
Jordan’s 4 big drops😮
This vid is mainly about sneakers that will be trending I think 4s right now are out of trend even though a lot of great pairs dropping this year that I will be buying for sure
colorful sneakers? oh you mean "big jlp shoes" lmaoooo

I feel like with NB it’s reaching the oversaturated phase of the trend cycle at this point but I understand your point as well
Its a sign that fashion is moving back to normcore where it was 10 years ago.
yea agreed
I guess I'm the only one out there who likes the new TS Cut the Check sneaker.
Hopefully they should be easy to get for you then
If Travis drops another four it would shut down the internet
Easily
I think Jordan 4's will be on the rise this year
The Adidas Superstars actually had a massive popularity spike in Denmark in the last 2 years or so. It got to a point where just about everyone had a pair.
oh wow, haven't seen that yet in other countries
None of the sneakers i want will go on sale. I want 4 sneakers and they will all sell out

I’m sure they will

We started the smear scene in the U.K. in 70’s
ASICS were cool before last year….dont forget the gel lyte iii and gel lyte v era. Most are probably too young to remember.
Yea that was a big era like early 2010s
I’m in wholesale sneaker market in Moscow , and I’m agree with every single word of this man , this is uploaded two months ago and what he predicted was happened really!!!!!!

I think it will be a big year for the football inspired shoes thanks to Euro 2024
If you want to be special than u cant follow the hype bcs than ur just following the mass
Girls will inevitably buy those SpongeBob Travis Scott 1 lows. Both for their kids and themselves. I have to get a pair of those olive green j1s
❤❤
Aubergine not egg plant

Nah all these shoes look like my dad who used to go for a run in the morning especially ASICS. I’ll keep wearing my skate shoes. You guys can wear the goofy running shoes

NEW BALANCE DEAD THIS YEAR
Its looking like the year of the 1906, lot of upcoming collabs
