At first i was surprised that they were so brave, then i remembered that they are tigers lol
Then you remembered they were taken away from their mother at birth and this selfish Zoo Keeper who seems to love the limelight and the attention took them home and used them as show ponies so now the animals dont know any different.

This is truly awesome. This zoo is really giving the big cats a wonderful, enriched place to live and raising money that goes directly to preserving the Sumatran Tigers in the wild.

surferpam1 if you have a local zoo I would start there. I have a friend interested in chimps that was able to volunteer and spend time with them.
Another good place would be to check out local conservation groups. I know here in central Florida we have a large cat group and a group specifically geared toward a group of birds (I forgot the type, forgive me) but I have two other friends who volunteered and were able to eventually have one-on-one time with the animals.
I don't believe any of my friends were able to walk in and immediately spend time with the animals but after consistent volunteering and education they were trusted with interaction.

The tiger cubs are adorable and harmless when they are so young. They grow fast, and at 5 months they are already as big as a large dog. At 7 months, they weigh over 100 pounds and are already dangerous. They weigh 400 pounds at maturity. Immensely powerful, and bristling with weaponry, they can rip a man apart in seconds. 4 inch long heavy claws, retractable and very sharp, driven by extremely muscular limbs, can tear the bark from trees. Their canines are over 2 inches long. Their huge molars act like giant meat scissors. Respect these babies. They are almost gone from the earth.
