In the heart of India, a group of villagers experience a cinematic first: Disney's beloved classic, The Lion King (1994)! Witness their awe and wonder as they encounter the timeless tale of Simba, the courageous lion cub destined for greatness. This heartwarming video captures their genuine reactions to the film's iconic moments - from the majesty of Pride Rock to the unforgettable musical numbers like "Hakuna Matata" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?"
This heartwarming cross-cultural encounter transcends language barriers, proving the magic of animation can touch hearts across the globe. See if they shed tears at Mufasa's sacrifice, cheer for Simba's triumphant return, and discover which unforgettable character becomes their favorite (will it be the wise Rafiki, the scheming Scar, or perhaps the lovable Timon and Pumbaa?)
This is a unique chance to see the Lion King through fresh eyes and rediscover the film's timeless themes of family, friendship, and responsibility. You won't want to miss their heartwarming, emotional journey - it's a reminder that the power of storytelling can bridge cultures and create lasting memories.

Well done to Sarru for letting Raju and Raeen enjoy the film and not spoiling the story line. 🙂
I hoped for his take in the end, comparing which he liked more (maybe he tried to comment, but the other guys were so enthusiasticly talking in the end so he didn't get his turn) ;)
I haven't watched the newer one and never hopefully will, so I was hoping they'd watch the cartoon version too.
@@ilari90What's the problem with the new one?
@@ladiuneeq9789 the animals don't have any expression, they look taxidermic.
@@Trazynn Different animation, but it's the same story. I don't understand the negativity. The movie was good.
@@ladiuneeq9789 I don't really understand the problem, but I'll try to help explain. So, when 2 films are based on the same story, there's nothing wrong with it. However, the quality of a film is not only from the story, (music, cinematography, resolution, aesthetics, animation style (if animated), lighting, coloring, and stuff) People think the new film doesn't convey feelings well enough, I guess the expressions, music and dialogue are not soulful enough in the new film. So even though the story is the same, one of them can be liked better because it manages to hit the audience's feelings, while the other feels flatter.
Damn dude. I was trying to keep it together when mufasa dies and Raeen goes "maybe he's unconsious". Broke me
My heart broke into a million pieces
That I also thought it as a child, with the hope that he didn't die, but it was a horrible truth he died and it broke my heart
Now, THIS is MY version of LION KING, never the remake. And I'll tell you, it took 3 WEEKS of waiting in line before I was able to get a ticket. No online booking back then...
Why the negativity? Just rejoice in what you enjoy and leave what you don't like alone. Life is easier that way.
It is so funny, they called Rafiki also "uncle" and after that comes that scene Timon said "The monkey is his uncle!?" 😂
In their culture "uncle" is respectable way to call someone who older than them, but not too old to a grandpa.
@@sharhtoo3839 indeed! in most cultures, especially in india in muslim countries, calling an elder as auntie or uncle is a major sign of respect!
@@sharhtoo3839 I am aware of this, but anyway it is funny that Timon calls him also "uncle" in that context.
All of Disney's films of the 90s were great, but this film absolutely cemented it as the best decade in the studio's history 😊
My favourite nugget of wisdom in this entire movie is, "Yes, the past can hurt. But you can either run from it, or learn from it." It was a shame to see it cut short in the editing process
Well they saw it... that's the important part.
If that was the important part, then they could save a bunch of time and only record their thoughts at the end of the movie instead @@jrmckim
The opening sequence was one of the most iconic ways to start a film. 2D was really something else.
I saw this movie when it was released as a child and I can’t convey how devastating seeing Mufasa die was, especially the scene where Simba crawls under his paw as he slowly realizes his father is dead; children and adults feel such heartbreak watching this. Raeen, Sarru, Raju, watching your reactions to this powerful story was very moving. Thank you for sharing 🙏🏽
Crushed the heart of a generation
In that part, my heart did not stop breaking into pieces
@@adrianhempfing2042 Not as much as the Land Before Time. That's haunting still even after about 30 years.
@@OrganMusicYT What about Watership Down?
@@shoujahatsumetsu nah that wasn't haunting. That was just violent.

Here are my few Disney animated film classic suggestions:
- ‘Aladdin.’
- ‘Beauty and the Beast.’
- ‘The Little Mermaid.’
Thank you. 😁
Pixar movies... Coco, Encanto, Soul, Turning Red. Hope!
@@KSmeaton1 in the name of Christ, no. These movies you've listed are trash.
I liked them. Its just a suggestion.@@ArthurD
@@KSmeaton1 Pretty sure they did Encanto.
@@ArthurDand you’re a grown man attacking peoples choice in kids movies. I guess you’d know trash well.
This movie was my childhood!
The fact that both Vkunia and REACT 2.0 both released reactions of the Lion King on the same day just 3-4 hours apart feels more of a coincidence.
yes, I also saw her reaction video, great, and also for the soon 30th anniversary of The Lion King
A lot of times (though not always), you'll see a trend of reactors doing the same movie all at the same time because they're available for streaming...especially if it's a free source.
The story that is told in The Lion King is also the story told in William Shakespeare's stage play Hamlet. It's probably a much older tale but personally I think the Lion King is the best telling of it to date.
Gibson's Hamlet is pretty good. That was when Mad Max surprised me, that Braveheart and everything he's directed. LK was amazing
Hamlet is SIGNIFICANTLY older than Shakespeare. It is an old Norse story, about the prince Amleth. The Northman is a retelling of that story.
@@KrasseOdaVonBayern shakespeare wrote hamlet
the idea might be older but not hamlet itself
@@KrasseOdaVonBayern I love it when people use capitals for effect when writing something stupid... just 😘👌
@@charleshowie2074 So why don’t you write everything in all caps. Cause this was the stupidest thing I’ve read all day.
I'm so glad some of the guys finally got to see this movie😇
Explanation & fun fact: Rafiki didn't find Simba through Magic. He smelled him on the leaves he grabbed out of the air😇
That also explains the magic weather too
Fr. If they’re doing the Disney classics, hopefully they’ll stick to the cartoons and not the live action versions 🙏🤞
@@TrollCapAmerica Fair Point🤣
He literally rolled the leafs around a turtle-shell bowl, and poured some fruit juice over - he's doing shamanism.
@@zegh8578 I'm not disputing that, but the fact is...He catches the leaves & smells them... I believe this is something the directors themselves have cleared up.
One of the best Disney animated movies ever made!
😁👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
'The best tasting dog-sh*t on the planet 🤤❤'
?
And also, the voices casting it´s incredible; starting with Mufasa (James Earl Jones, who was the voice of Darth Vader among another epic roles), and Scar (Jeremy Irons).
Right, we're getting closer. The original Disney cartoon version of Kipling's The Jungle Book next...it's a "necessity". 😜🙏
Would love it if they watched the 1967 Jungle Book as well!
I love Sarru!! He's always very observant and you can tell he's genuinely enjoying the movie! 🥰
He's become one of my favorite reactors you have on the channel!
I watched this one as a kid in cinema, and it was a truly beatifull, great, and emotional experience, i was completely amazed by this movie, and still today is a great movie.
I also went to see this in cinema when it first came out. It Was the first movie where I cried 😅
@@krakenbutt i dont think it was my first... but maybe the first animation that did it and with such quality...
Happy 30th anniversary to this movie!!! The Lion King is my childhood and my favorite animation movie from all time!!!
Oh, I grew up watching ‘The Lion King’ as well…
Great job Sarru for not spoiling the movie for the others.
Babu would have loved this!! 😮
Sir, make them watch more Disney cartoons like Hercules, Mulan, Pocahontas, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast. These movies can also make them learn about other cultures. Raeen is especially curious of other cultures.
Thanks for doing this! Would love to see more classic Disney films like Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, etc
I highly recommend Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Tarzan, and Mulan! All great Disney movies from the 90s!
Hercules should be the next Disney film to watch. Let's see if they notice Scar in this one :D
one the greatest films ever
"The Lion King" has many details in common with "Hamlet", the famous novel by Shakespeare. For me, it´s the best animated film ever, with one of the best OST ever composed (by the great Hans Zimmer). ALWAYS touches my heart in some scenes. It´s a truly masterpiece.
Today I have learned that Jungle is an Indian word that means forest, I was surprised when I looked up the origin after seeing the translation here and it was true. We always think a Jungle is specifically a hot rainforest type environment, but I guess it is not after all.
There are over 900 words in the Oxford English dictionary that are of Indian origin. These are some of the popular ones.
Atoll, avatar, bandana, bangle, bhelpuri, blighty, bungalow, calico, cashmere, catamaran, cheetah, cheroot, chintz, chit, choky, churidar, chutney, coir, cot, cowrie, cummerbund, cushy, curry, dal, dinghy, dharma, doolally, dungarees, godown, gymkhana, gunny, guru, jodhpurs, jungle, jute, karma, kedgeree, khaki, lacquer, langur, lilac, loot, mandarin, mantra, mogul, mongoose, mulligatawny, myna, nirvana, palanquin, pashmina, patchouli, polo, pukka, punch, pundit, purdah, pyjamas, raita, roti, shawl, shampoo, swami, tank, teak, tiffin, thug, veranda, yaar, and yoga.
@@Jana_San_SSOf these, I did not know Cheetah, Palanquin and Pundit were of Indian origin.
Even more fascinating if there isn't an 'exact' word for it in English then the dictionary simply substitutes it without translation. It avoids mistranslation and gives a definition. Hence words like 'kimono' and suffixes like '-ology'. Learning English is fun but it also means learning the language rules from many other languages 😅
If they are enjoying the animated films, you have to show them Studio Ghibli movies! My Neighbor Totoro is a great start.
The channel will get in trouble. Ghibli is known for making videos with their content be taken down.
If they will react to that, it’s best if they add it to Patreon
They could start right at the beginning with the Lupin III movie; Miyazaki's feature film before Studio Ghibli was a thing.
It doesn't matter how many times I've seen this movie doesn't matter how many times I've seen the movie, the scene where Simba finds Mufasa dead in the gorge always gets me in the heart. Especially the fact that Scar gaslights Simba into thinking it was his fault.
Side note: Some of the character's names have meanings translated out of Swahili
Simba: Lion
Nala: Gift
Mufasa: King
Sarabi: Mirage
Rafiki: Friend
Pumbaa: Slow-Witted
Zazu: Movement
I always love when brothers & uncle sing at the end after watching movie. I feel like family. ❤❤
Loved that they enjoyed this movie.
How about Land Before time?
Hunchback of Notre Dame.
The Lion King is my favorite film, i'm glad they liked it. Here are some other Disney recommendations: Tarzan, Mulan, Hercules, The Little Mermaid, Tangled, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Princess and the Frog, Lilo and Stitch, Treasure Planet and Brother Bear.
The stampede sequence took about two years alone to animate. The reason it took so long was because the wide beasts kept running into each other, so if i remember right, they had to create the software to solve the problem of them running into each other.
I was 5 years old when this film came out. I saw it with my mother and father in the theater. They have me on video tape reciting it word for word from start to finish at age 5. This film is as close to perfect as you can get. I love it. Thanks for your commentary, you all are great.
This is the best movie ever of any time
Thank you for showing the older original. ❤
Still to this day I use the line “remember who you are” as inspiration of past accomplishments

I salute this movie with a 21 gun... no a 22 gun salute!
Scar letting the hyenas take over the pride lands was a very cruel thing for him to do, and including killing Simba's father.
*I love how Sarru just waited for their reactions in all the key moments of the movie since he has already watched the new version of lion king! This has to be my favorite reaction to a movie by my favorite guys! I hope you guys continue the disney movies and watch Aladdin. there's so many more good ones but i feel like they would LOOOOOOVE Aladdin!*

Loved this reaction! ❤️
Hakuna matata
I need these three to watch “ParaNorman” like desperately
I also noticed there’s a ringing that goes on through the whole video basically
oh thanks for seeing it, it's from my fav movies in my childhood and it's about to celebrate its 30th anniversary, I still remember the first time I saw it as a child, I was born in the 2000s, it was on TV once and I casually saw it in the scene when Simba meets Timon and Pumba, and I was already wondering what happened before and it got me, and after when I saw the movie complete, the death of Mufasa broke my heart a lot, but more when Simba tried to "wake him up".. Really it's a impressive movie with great lessons and messages that I still aprecciate, and even before as a child I thought it was a recent movie, not from a long time ago jaja, and I also remember it took me a while to learn the names of the characters, I was 8 years old... You should watch the sequels also,
33:45 background singing
Hehe It was a street hawkers call.
I saw this in theaters when I was 14, and it's still one of my favorites from Disney. Definitely preferred it over the recent live-action one. 👏👏👏
I'm glad they watched this, I hope they get to see Aladdin
The lion king is just the Shakespeare story of Hamlet but with all the characters replaced by cartoon animals
So they know, yes, the sunrises and landcapes/skies ARE that beautiful in Africa. Just Google some images, it's amazing.
Also, now that this classic is out of the way...Princess Mononoke?
You’re just going to leave Babu out of this?!
He doesn’t need to he already watched Lion king live action 2019 couple months ago. He knows the story so he doesn’t need to watch this one tho
He’s the one lifting Simba in the beginning.
@@FearFlix00if it’s a Lion King you should watch it’s this one.
YAY he talks too much through the movie. We could use a break
When they talk too much. My ex boyfriend did the same. Whenever I watch action movies with guns or any weapons he'll start talking and I have a hard time focusing on the movie. I'm deaf and trying to pay attention reading the subtitles and each scene. I'll pause the movie and give him the angry looks on my face. Then he said that I have "Tunnel Vision" I said, "nope, I'm deaf with a cochlear implant and trying to pay attention one at a time. I can't turn my head to TV or you!" He got mad at me and he shut up after that. It's okay for these guys to talk about the movies and other things. I love Lion King both cartoons and lives.
Would love to see them react to the second one! Lion King: Simba’s Pride
they should watch Brother Bear as well!
well done gentlemen
I love to hear them sing
Please let them watch Mission Impossible series. You can start with Ghost Protocol and then go all the way down. You will have plenty of amazing movies to wow them and blow their minds
@React 2.0 I would love to see them react to the Disney movie Holes. It is a wonderful story about camaraderie and brotherhood.

You are missing your kinship - Raju
Got to love the lion king franchise
Mufasa
The lion king
Timon are Pumba
Lion king 1½
The lion Guard
Lion King 2
And then there's an original Lion King that came way before the Lion King existed from the 50's it's an anime from Japan called "Kimba the White lion" so amazing worth watching
I am so glad to enjoy this movie with this three. They are so great together. I have missed Raju, with him being gone so long.
I have to say for the first time that Raeen talking was actually bothering me because he always stops watching to lean over like he's trying to distract Raju. 😅 Maybe he should talk less or they should sit next to each other so he's less disruptive. 😂
P.S. I wish they got to finish the Wednesday series from Netflix. 😢
HAVE THEM WATCH GREMLINS!!!! WITH BABU AND RAEEN!!!
That could be funny!
Could you have them react to willy wonka and the chocolate factory?
Yes. The original one.
Have they watched My Girl? It made me cry
How did disney go from bangers like this to what they are now
I hope one day you all get to see in real life, the Disney castle here in Orlando, Florida at Walt Disney’s magic Kingdom at Disney World.
Very unfortunate that they've seen the modern 3D version before this
