  • I have had this SKS for a few years. Nice piece of history. I also stole my wife's pumpkins so I guess there will be no pumpkin pie this year....

Cool video. I bought several SKS rifles back when some crates came here to the States. My local gun shop bought a couple crates, and I picked through them and found four Type 56 SKSs I liked. After restoring them, they all ran beautifully. One of them had a rotted stock, so I outfitted it with an aftermarket stock conversion kit, kind of like bubba-ing it.

The SKS was also made before the AK, so not the ‘Little Brother’ but rather older. When you take these for what they are, a great rifle, I really like these. Good for hunting around 100 yards but don’t expect to be a sniper at any range.

Blowback system??? I guess that means you can throw away the piston with the short stroke that's in front of the sights because you don't need it.

LolZ. This iconic piece of history😄. Operates off a blowback system. I think the guy said that bc he sees the bolt coming back every round so I’ll give him a freebie but you’re right I bet it it’s never been torn all the way down and reassembled.

You are so right it's a piston system. So it's not technically blow back the blow back it's the piston to push it back hahaha
