I think the way we should go about Enzo is to have him play as a deep play maker 6, and invert one of the fullbacks when in possession, have the other midfielder next to Enzo (Caicedo, Lavia) help cover for him, giving him enough space and time to send out balls to the attackers.
The thing about Jackson is that he drops to receive the ball in the midfield and link up play with palmer and wingers unlike nkunku who isn't good at winning aerial duels and we saw that during the pre season
Seems like it will make more sense to enhance the starting line up with the 5 that are likely to also see game time. These days, we all realize it’s a squad game with major substitutions. Rarely does the starting 11 finish the game. The line up should reflect that. Especially with the number of games ahead until July.
Caicedo & Lavia maybe only against city / Arsenal / Liverpool but large majority of games you want one of them and then the other midfielder needs to be a Enzo or KDH Realistically for the season we’d need a hybrid kinda formation with Caicedo / Lavia staying back, enzo / KDH pushing up carrying the ball, Neto / Sancho on the left, Nkunku middle, Madueke RW or Palmer just floating around RAM / RW & then Jackson or Felix up top
My worry with having Sancho, Palmer, Nkunku, and Neto as the starting 4 is that literally all of them are horrendous in the air, and all of them, apart from maybe Nkunku (who still is but less so), are creator first, goals second. I like Noni at RW because, whilst he creates goals, he's goal scorer first creator second.
I think it heavly depends on the opposition. For example, over the weekend, we were up against a side with quality pressing, and for that, you need wingers who can hold the ball which calls for players like Sancho or Felix or even Nkunku. But whenever you need to play with space, Mudryk, Neto and Madueke trio is better. So, it depends on the periods of the game. However, judging by the fact that in the PL, we are mostly playing with the ball, we need wingers who do not easily lose the ball, that's why Pep plays with Grealish, so Sancho and I'd say Madueke should be chosen, or Sancho could be a right winger where Felix gets to be LW. We have so many options and as many games, so we will see good performances.
We had a bit of a lull in our ability as a club to buy wingers since Hazard in general. Before Hazard we had the likes of Cole, Robben, Duff, Kalou and Malouda. Now it seems like we finally got rid of our mental block in buying wingers
Unfortunately we cannot plan around Recee and Lavia too injury prone. Also last game we missed Enzo for linking defence and attack and controlling pace of the game, he is critical for the team

If playing Sancho, KDH would be the perfect player in the half space. Amazing movement as Sancho dribbles and skips him behind. He is left footed for quick crosses and has the ability to play the dual 6/10 roll. Enzo definitely wouldn’t suit. Potentially, Enzo and Caicedo can hold together and Cucu plays that left back left 10 roll like he played last game. They linked up well.
I think Enzo Maresca might actually be the one if given (here’s that dirty word) time. I think over the next of couple years he could build something strong.
So, who's missing Conor now?; who's missing Stirling?; who's missing Trevoh?; who's missing Havertz?; Who's missing Mount?; or Loftus-Cheek; or Kovacic; or Timo even?...... I could go on. The amount of nonsense there's been in the media about "much-loved" players leaving the club and the club having "lost its soul" has been ridiculous. Sure, we just want to win. But having a new, young, talented, exciting squad like this is just great. Hopefully the trophies will come, in time.
Why is a penalty save (which he gave away) and a few shots straight at him making people think Sanchez is suddenly the man? He was dropped by Brighton for a reason and has cost us untold amount of goals in the last year

He was dropped by Brighton for a reason and has cost us untold amount of goals in the last year
Them ratings are absolutely atrocious
Yan is the global spokesman for hay fever
We really missed Enzo against Bournemouth. We are better with him in the team.
YES - Nkunku can become a perfect striker over Jackson, look at what Nkunku did in Bundasliga - also Tosin seems alright at CB
After the 4 games, Fofana does not deserve the start, Tosin and Colwill, should be the starting CB pairing, Fofana give me Sanchez Vibes in CB, he has BOzoe genes
Fofana was out for so long so the bozo moments were expected.
We can't afford bozo moments. He can pick up his form in the cups
@@madziaciapko I agree but i am not in charge.
I think Maresca understands the importance of cohesion and wants not to rotate a CB pair like Poch did instead he wants the two to build up a strong relationship to form a better defence.
Fernandez would be a perfect fit for saudi arabia.. he moves like a 35 year old veteran but he's to proud to do the dirty work.. so its just a waste of space.. imagine caicedo gets injured😬 or imagine caicedo with the right partner in midfield😎
We will still need to bring in an axe of experienced players for gk, cb, cm and number 9.
Given this ownerships desire to be active in the transfer market..I think January TM will throw your analysis out the window. We will likely sell/loan some players and pickup a #9, a CB, and potentially 10 more wingers and CAMs. (especially if CFC is anticipating transfer ban)
..and 4 more GK 😅
Palmer isn’t in the conference league squad leaving another space for nkunku and Felix
How is Sancho 82 but Yanny is 87!? Madness
Oh shit.
Yan: I worry for Gallagher.
Gallagher goes to Atleti.
Yan: I worry for Enzo.
Enzo to Atletico soon! You heard it here first, folks. 😂
At this point Reece is the back up to Gusto
I'd drop Noni too along with Jackson
Let's discuss Reece James and his inability to avoid injury. I have never seen a single person sustain so many hamstring injuries. Maybe he needs to be sent off to Yoga Camp so he can learn how to properly stretch and improve his flexibility. It's just bizarre at this point
Chilwell is an attacking full back does that suit a winger? Not sure if we have more than 5 top notch players !
I wll start Lavia in that midfield and Caicedo Enzo shld sit on the bench until he proves to be productive I thnk Neto is best on the right side depending how Madueke is performing Lwb Sancho
Robert Sanchez clanger coming this Saturday, it is written.
Yes let enzo maresca.drop noni maduaki..play Neto for right wing while sancho lafe wing.
I wouldn't drop Noni in favor of Neto. Noni can score and Neto does not seem to have scored many goals.
No problem with our attack but am not sure about our questionable defence
U actually forget Mudryk 😢 Not cool
he is finished. he's had more than enough minutes to prove himself. All he's proven is that he cannot play for us
He’s shit and a flop. His Chelsea career is over loool.
@@jw-lk1pe and yet everyone is gassing about Lavia, even though he was injured for most of the time he was with us... how does that calculate exactly?
Yan and Chelsea fans
Would you sacrifice playing CP in the CAM to get Nkunku into the starting xi?
As in, play Nkunku in the CAM, CP as a RW, Sancho LW and Jackson striker
Lavia & Caicedo as DMs. No space for Enzo Fernandez in starting 11
They will rotate besides lavia injury prone
i think we need a new custom formation to fit all these guys in their preferred positions 🤣🤣🤣🤣
guys i think its time for mudryk to step up his game otherwise its time to get rid because the minutes could be going to players like tyrique George who could end up being our next saka but we wont know unless he gets minutes here and there
For v West Ham:
Jackson
Sancho Palmer Madueke
Caicedo Lavia
Cucu Colwil Tosin Fofana
Sanchez
Or if gusto back, Cucu Colwil Fofana Gusto
Concerned that Enzo could go full Pep overthinking and do bizarre things that lose key games.
😂let him learn
Better exclude the hospital patients, JAMES, CHILLY, CHUCKY, LAVIA. If any are fit to play more than 10 games I’ll be surprised and I think ALL are heading for the EXIT at the end of the season. None are robust enough for the PREM.
We now have the talent in most positions to keep everyone hungry to start, and incentive to get better so they do start.
You can't bench the best passer in the team. Enzo needs to play.
Drop Neto. Nkunku Striker, in front of Felix. Sancho left wing. Palmer right wing. you now have the most talented forwards playing
Fernandez out. Lavia in and madeuke stays in starting lineup. Sancho on the left. That's my take.
We need Nkunku as our conference league main man to carry us through the competition. I would say you still too fragile to be given the start in the Premier league. Watch him when we bring him off the bench and have an upgrade on the field and the striker position? Conference league much less physical. Nkunku can tear it up
I wonder what line up against barrow?
Reece james is not a conventional right back, he’s more of a be right back
Everyone loves Nico Jackson...realy...
Do it with a back 3
Noni is so hot and cold I good game and 2 stinkers so he can come off of the bench. trying neto on the right is a good idea.
All Jackson has proven is that he’s not a natural finisher, and we absolutely need someone who is, are we looking to the January window for Osimhen again!?Nkunku in behind Osimhen sounds good to me!
Wow bro chill out. Jackson is still improving, did better than Drogba in his first season at chelsea... all I'm saying is we had no choice but to play him and he performed very well considering expectations. Let's see if he can continue that
Yeah.. but Look at drogbas Body language and His..
Palmer 85 ❌
Yanny 87 ✅
Wait a second poch had a bad preseason and started bad but ended good i hope for meresca who had a bad preseaon already starting the season well should bot end it badly 😢😢😢😢
3 4 1 2 like Atalanta could have been good if we didn't have so many wingers.
At this point we can’t put James in anything
MUDRYK is getting minutes only to avoid a knock down sale at the end of the season. He’s got no future at Chelsea. George is better already
I think Malo Gusto has earned his spot over Reece James….
