I like Night Shift, too, but I think I like Skeleton Crew a little better - although I usually read them back to back, so to me they're like two volumes of one long book
Really enjoyed this! I've enjoyed much of the horror I've read, but for whatever reason, it's a genre I haven't explored very extensively. This gives me some ideas for collections to check out. I suspect that the illustrations in those "Scary Stories" volumes traumatized a whole generation of children. 😂 I Am Legend is a terrific novella -- easily one of my favorite vampire stories. And that Book of the Supernatural collection sounds great. Thanks for the video, and have a good one!
Thank you. I have a few more horror collections that I'll be showing in the future. The next shelf is entirely horror as well, but mostly novels. I was definitely afraid of the illustrations in Scary Stories when I was young, the one on the cover of my volume and the wolf girl used to freak me out the most, but now I look at them and wish I could draw like Stephen Gammel
Hey John. Hope you are doing well! If you didn’t know, I do a Saturday Short Story series. Usually do two short stories in a condensed version of my normal book reviews. I need to get the collection of scary stories to tell in the Dark. Loved that as a kid! Cool video!
Thank you. I'll have to check out your short story series. I'd like to do videos on short stories, but I haven't figured out how to say enough to do them justice without giving away too many spoilers
Thanks. I'd had a bad experience with Matheson's A Stir of Echoes not long before I read I Am Legend and I was expecting to be disappointed, but these stories surprised me, I really enjoyed them. A Stir of Echoes felt like it was a first draft that had been rushed into print, but I Am Legend felt like it was a finished work, if that makes sense.
Quitters Inc. I reviewed a few weeks ago. I like that short story. Night Shift is King’s best collection, IMO

Some great anthologies, saw a few I haven’t read. Thanks!
Thanks for watching, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Cool lineup thanks for sharing. I recently grabbed that copy of I Am Legend, curious to see how it is.

Yea, Cemetery Dance has a website with collections and magazines. Their featured author is Stephen King.
