Funny you should say that. I cut some grass one year with a lot of volunteer barley in it. Rats got into it and didn’t realise as they were living in the middle of the heap. What a mess
Great ingenuity Joe, 😂 would the grass seed matter if you're only using it to feed your own cattle, or would it build up and mess up your rotation? 85 % today had to fork out for new glasses for upcoming dvla sight test, but should pass it.

Would you not consider getting your own wrapper ? And second question would it not be easier to build a big clamp for all your silage and chop it.
Many tens of thousands for a clamp and loads of hoops to jump through for effluent. Then you need a forage harvester or rely on a contractor and silage trailers etc. guess he is happy borrowing the wrapper🤷♂️ maybe has a swap deal with the owner, wouldn’t do for me personally. My farther had a saying “lender no borrower be” I hate borrowing stuff in case it breaks
@@johnwarwick4105 yeah worked for someone yrs ago who was the same we were on a dairy farm and the clamp was near the slurry lagoon so went straight in we had round bales but at the time went into bags which were a pain to seal soon got a wrapper. But he used to never a lender or a borrower be as it costs me money.
@@earlepriest2544 OMG silage Bags, was just thinking about those the other day. Get your bales a little too big and you were stuffed 🤣. Had to keep them out of the sun else that ripped when pulling them on. No doubt about it wrappers are a great invention
