It looks a beast
I think the muck fork is probably better on a rough floor, didn’t used to be so much concrete about in my day
Yeah probably right there 😀
@@joeseels wi a deeper pile in sheds a muck grab is much better
Mucked out last week - was about a meter and a half deep (think we might have left it a bit late😂)
Great video joe
I haven't forgotten a gift for you and the team for Xmas. Is OXO on the wish list with pepper😅😅 When I was playing with tractors as a child I always wanted a grab. Now I have them coming out my ears. Britains have done a great job with their JCB branded grab. It's the business 😂😂
We use a bucket grab mostly. Probably best because straw chopped. Fork might be better if not. Can you maintain DLWG when they move to grass?
No they will probably drop their DLWG going out to grass, but grass is cheap so it doesn’t matter as much if it does. We are trying to give them time to build a frame that we can add weight to later, when finishing.
Great video Joe

Great video joe as always 😊
Thanks Kev appreciate that 😀😀
The muck fork is much better if you don't have a straw chopper Joe.
I muck out with an old strautmann blockcutter and a 85hp new holland. 20 horsestables in an hour and a half including strawing up by hand. 😅
You have 85 horses in just 20 stables… over powered an cramped conditions 😂😂
@@joeseels haha, nah, horses have it good, all individual rooms and roomservice of course 😅 bed gets fluffed up everyday. Currently about 45-50 stables.
Joe we muck out with a bucket grab it is way easier then a bucket and a grab, I think you need to invest with the amount of mucking out you do and I love the vids
Good video joe, saw the daff in thirsk mart today.
Yeah he’s been up there 😀
We used to use a bucket with a grab
So do we. Saves leaving a trail around the yard😀

Muck grab looks the beast on the TM. Nice one joe
Brilliant video as per usual Joe👍👍. You’d be a domestic appliance technician/engineer if you weren’t a farmer pal 🤣🤣🤣. The muck grabber looks the business on the jcb, a beast 👍👍👍. Always appreciate you allowing us into your daily adventures on the farm Joe👍👍 and thank you and all farmers for providing us with food to put on our tables👍. Without farmers we wouldn’t exist so the world salutes you and your farmer colleagues around the globe 👍👍👍👍👍🙏🏼🙏🏼. Stay safe my friend and again thank you 👍👍👍👍. Love it 👍👍👍
Thanks Derek, hope you are doing well! Nice to get your positive comments! Don’t think you’ve got a bad bone in you! 😀😀
Seen a bucket grab at work a couple of times , seemed to be best of both worlds solid bottom with grapple on top made a good job
Hi Joe What did you pay for your diesel its come down a bit hasn't it
73/ 74 something like that
Thanks for the info Joe
Muck fork is much better if you don't chop straw,
Yes I think I’ve suggested that before, our muck just flows into the bucket
The muck fork is a brilliant tool, less stress on the loader when pushing into muck
9o❤ on 😅❤
Morning Joe 🇬🇧🚜🚛🐃🐂🇦🇺
Evening Peter! 😀
I WONDER WHY YOU DIDN'T USE A MUCK FORK USEING A BUCKET IS OK IF YOU GOT SOMETHING TO PUSH AGAINST
❤❤dear.joe.what.have.you.been.doing.today.mate.
Thanks Craig, hope you’ve had a good day 😀
Can you explain how the business works? You buy cattle and don’t have calves so how do they make money? I should know this as I work in an agricultural university…but in the IT dept.
He feeds them, they get bigger then he sells them.
Yeah in simple terms as Phil says, we get cattle from grassland farms, we have lots of feed and bedding local to us, so feed is cheaper to get hold of and transport in. We buy cattle feed them, then market each one to the right processor/ customer, depending on weight and specification.
@@joeseels Thanks Joe. I suppose its more efficient than breeding them yourself. I have got a real interest in how farms work since i have been watching your channel.
First
Thanks paddy! 😀
No muck fork here all rubber covered slatted pens so all.slurry
Are you over in Ireland Stephen?
@Joe Seels yeah co antrim most have slats
