Thanks David :) I have many favorite books. 2 of which that's special to me include: 1. What Got You Here Won't Get You There: How Successful People Become Even More Successful - Marshall Goldsmith 2. Find Your Why - Simon Sinek Good day brother.
Oh my gosh! I so glad I found your channel!!!! This is the BEST HR information yet! The clear way you speak and explain is so helpful. I am in HR so thank you for doing these videos. I can't wait to watch all of your videos!!
I really liked Principle Centered Leadership by Stephen Covey. It helped shape much of my early years in my professional life. thank you for the awesome content. cheers!
Thank you for book reviews...I laugh at all the tabs on you books; mine look the same! I have Influence & recently revisited my notes. Fellow nerds. Well best books timeless classics & great foundational ideas: HT Win Friends by Dale Carnegie & psycho-cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz- which ties in with your Range...in that it's about taking in feedback & adjusting course, rather than a perfectly straight line.
You’re welcome comrade! I only just started writing notes in my books and using tabs. At first it felt so unholy but now I wish I’d done it years ago! Thanks for your comment! I really need to read How To Win Friends… It’s on my list! I haven’t heard of Psycho-Cybernetics, based on my quick google just now it looks really interesting! I like the link you made with Range! //Dave
Great book recommendations Dave, I can’t wait to check them out! I’m thinking about my fav career book and shamefully I haven’t read much. Lean in by Nell Scovell and Sheryl Sandberg was the last one that I’ve read. It was quite moving for me because it puts the onus on women to push on and take charge of their career. I didn’t agree or like everything in the book however it forces me to think and reflect about my career and the prospect of having a family. I don’t have kids but I always wonder how other women manage to have both - a family and a career, and the book helped me with some of my own doubts and insecurities.
Books aren’t for everyone 😄 I’ve heard a lot of good things about Lean In… I really like summary and how it had an impact on you. Good books change us… Thanks for dropping by Thu!
@@DavidMalan01 A book that I got a lot of value from regarding psychology and mindset when doing deals is called ‘Market Wizards’, by Jack Schwager. It’s a collection of interviews with top commodity and financial markets traders. ‘Reminiscences of a Stock Operator’ by Edwin Le Fevre is another and was published in 1923; a fascinating look at risk, reward, psychology, financial behaviour.
Very helpful video.. Really thankful for ur guidance, can you make a video which country is good for hr ? And also I have been hearing AI can replace hr in future, is that true?
