As a person who is your age-range with similar issues in regards to boredom and feeling pointless and trying to find things to do, I found a lot of joy and newfound passion in life when I took a few college courses. You get exposed and surrounded by A TON of people your age who are not judgemental and just trying to learn in life, and you have a reason to hang out with them (i.e. studying), and you have something you are accomplishing everyday
