  • Hey there!
    in this video I’m going to compare the Tesla V2 and the T3, to see if the T3 is a good upgrade, or if they just have different rent use-cases.
    If you have a clear favorite, let me know in the comments!
    Big thanks at MyEWheel for sending us the T3 for testing and at Adam for the great footage.
    You want more EUC and monocat?

    Awesome review and comparison! I am currently rocking the V2 as well and taking it up the stairs all the way to the 3rd floor in the office building is way easier than a bigger wheel. I feel like its the perfect middle point between a smaller/lighter vs bigger/heaving wheel. Its the perfect sweet spot for a smaller city , I ride less than 20km a day, totally loving it. Also swapped the tire to 16x2.5 (having it less inflated than normal) rides really good and still feels rock solid. Thanks for the awesome video , keep up the good work!

    Great review! I really appreciate the focus on the ride feel more than the pure technical aspects.
    Owning an 84V MSX, it's funny how close in specs the Tesla has become.

      Also loving the 84V MSX which was my upgrade over tesla v1, BUT with higher pedals (which, together with slim wheel was my main concerns with Teslas) the case gets stronger for the new T3 .. hmm, still thinking KS-16X is top choice in 16" category tho

    Hi Kate! Loved the video and your style! A lot of the Wrong Way Tesla v2 videos helped influence me to purchase the Tv2 earlier this year and for the reasons you described. Even though I recently bought a Nikola+ AR, I intend on keeping the light, nimble wheel Tv2 for when I want to have a ride feeling with a wheel so light that it feels like I’m not riding anything at all, or if I just want to bring a wheel along for a road trip for light exploration or errands, or to teach others. Newer wheels nowadays have trended to becoming more powerful with bigger battery at the sacrifice of being heavier and it seems like wheels designed to be light and nimble are becoming more rare, so I’m glad I got the Tv2 when I did. Keep up the fun video content!

    Thanks 4 t review Kate. Adams review talked me into t T3, but you gave a different perspective. And of course, your way better looking than Adam. Lol. This is my first wheel and im doing pretty good so far. I followed both of your advice and it definitely helped. My wife was my "pole" to start and she walked me around like Adam did for you. Ive since moved on to other helpful items like tree's, poles and fences. Lol. Slow but steady. We're in Jacksonville Florida. USA. Thanks again. Keep t content coming.

    I have the Tesla 2 and I just bought the Tesla 3. They are almost identical, except that the T3 has a 1,500 battery. The pedals of the Tesla 3 have 1 centimeter more height that is hardly noticeable. Begode is not going to produce any of the 2 Tesla again, for that reason I will keep the 2. I did 900km so far and T3 is awesome. Range is amazing, power is brutal. I limited speed to 40km/h in EUC World. But still the acceleration is so brutal that I managed to get cutoff at 58km/h at 55% of the battery. This wheel accerate co quickly that you have to be really carefull not to be killed by it :-D. Also the beeps are too quiet for these speeds. I can't hear them thru the wind. A little widow maker :-).

    • @monocat.1011
      @monocat.1011  2 роки тому +1

      The Teslas are so small, it’s very easy to push them fast to high speeds. I always lean down with my upper body and bend my knees a bit, looks a bit strange but it helps me a lot to hear the beeps in more quite wheels.
      Stay safe :)

    I personally have had both wheels. I was about to buy either a V11 or S18 but had a last moment piece of nostalgia because I learned on the Tesla V2 as my first wheel. So I bought the V3. No regrets. Still one of the fastest accelerating wheels out there. And it accentuates my RS HS nicely...
    Love both your man's channel and yours. If your ever in the States come see me in Eugene Oregon. One of the best places to ride in the world. Best trails and plenty of them from beginner to pro. You guys would love it...

      I'm actually comparing both wheels you mentioned as my first EUC. Would you say the T3 is 75% the speed of the RS? How would you compare the two wheels as far as the feel and quality?

    • @thecaptainandthewheel8506
      @thecaptainandthewheel8506 Рік тому +1

      @@mike_t_007 Amazing choices, and the T3 does about 34-35mph not unlike the RS high torque. And my RS high speed does about 42mph, but the acceleration of the T3 is amzingican hit 25mph twice as fast as the RS from my experience. My Telsa is a city Ferrari and my RS is my Jeep. None of these wheels will disappoint though. All amazing pieces of machinery.

    Hi Kate. informative review as always. I just like to ask if you can ride the telsa 3 in slight rain. I'm planning to buy my first wheel and is worried about rain because of the weather here in the Philippnes.

    • @monocat.1011
      @monocat.1011  2 роки тому

      Hey, I didn’t try to ride the t3 in rain yet, but I did ride the T2 in rain multiple times as well as in snow, and so far I had no problems. Since they are very similar build, I’d assume that the t3 will handle rain pretty good as well, especially since it doesn’t have the mesh covers anymore . Just make sure to keep it upright afterwards, in case water did come in :)
      The Nikola is also very robust and the coming KS16 looks very promising as well.

    just got my t3! my first wheel, can't compare it to anything therefore, but like it so far. But... how confidently does it handle wetness/rain/storms? Can you ride it in the rain and not worry about frying something?

    • @monocat.1011
      @monocat.1011  2 роки тому +1

      Congratulations to your first wheel!
      I didn’t try the t3 in only mild rain and it was fine. Iwas riding the Tesla v2 in quite heavy rain and snow and it was absolutely fine. And since it has the same shell and is similarly assembled, t3 should be fine as well, but no guarantee.
      And make sure that after rain you keep the wheel upright till it is 100% dry, in case water got inside, so it can get out again and doesn’t get to the motherboard!!

    How do you compare it to the V10f? (It's as light as this one I think, cons: battery is high up, pro's: best water proof euc out of the box)
    I'm thinking of buying the v8s or the v10f as my first wheel

    • @baptistek1917
      @baptistek1917 2 роки тому

      I have the V10F and I hate it. Don't buy it. It feels very heavy, it's impossible to control/master, it's very difficult to go fast, it accelerates slowly with no feeling of power, it doesn't brake strong which is unbearable and if you lean back too much much to brake you can even fall easily, it's not waterproof apparently, and some rocks can be be projected inside and more or less block the wheel.
      And the autonomy is actually limited : I don't think you can do more than 30km. Doing only 20km shows yellow bars on the display of battery on the wheel...
      I regret to have bought this shit.
      I also own the V5f which is a very great wheel, even waterproof, but with limited range (10km) and speed (23km/h).
      I weight 75kg.

Im currently waiting on an RS19 ht to be delivered but now that i have seen that the King Song S20 is coming out im not sure if i should cancel my preorder on the RS19. • @monocat.1011
      @monocat.1011  2 роки тому +1

      I can completely understand that. I was riding the RS19 ht during our Europe trip, and I’m thinking about buying one now for myself. I think it comes down to what you need the wheel for, the rs19 is definitely a great performance wheel with insane torque, so it also climbs hills pretty easy but it’s not well waterproofed. The ks s20 will definitely better for a bit of off-road i assume, thanks to the suspension. And if you live somewhere rainy, it will be for sure more waterproof and handle that better.
      Hope that helps :)
