First, I want to say that I *EXTREMELY* pleased with my Tesla V2. It has more acceleration than I generally ask it for, and its top speed is much higher than I'm comfortable going with just wrist guards and a full face helmet. It is rare that I need to use even half the Tesla's range in one day, so I'm happy to sacrifice weight for a savings in weight and price.
The low pedals are the Tesla's biggest problem, but they are manageable. I fell in my first 10 miles with the Tesla taking a slow, tight right turn that had me going up a slight incline, so that pedal was low. I was already good at jumping off my V5F when things went wrong, but I managed to catch the toe of my shoe somewhere between the pedal, the body of the Tesla, and the pavement.
My Tesla shipped with the pedals calibrated right at 0 degrees. I recalibrated with the front of the pedals up by 2 degrees. I don't know how much more clearance that gives me at the tips of my shoes, but I figure every bit helps, and I prefer riding with some tilt anyway.
The important thing is to be conscious of this. After that wreck, I did some slow pedal-scraping turns to try to figure out how far I could really lean. In the end, I'm just extra paranoid and careful to take turns as wide as I can.
It's nice to see a updated review on the Tesla. I just installed a MMG 2.50 tire on my tesla and it made a incredible difference with more stability especially at higher speed. I also installed high definition LEDs with makes having a break light obsolete. Having the 2.50 tire raises the pedals a bit so way less scraping.. I just uploaded the video on my channel so feel free to check it out. I was the person Marty was referring to who gave him the idea to upgrade his tire.
Oh wow re. Less pedal scrape on 2.5.
Next tyre change i might try the 2.4 nobby.
@@stefanclooneykannika Go for it!! I encountered a few people to upgrade and the love the results.
Been waiting for this video for a long time! Thanks a ton Adam!
Awesome! At last the wait is over :)
I have 6000 miles on my v1 Tesla it’s a beast !
Great review! Love my Tesla v2 so far. Interested in seeing your thoughts on the T3 if you get your hands on it!
Another great review. I even fwd these to some non-EUC riding friends.
2,5" tire fits well with lifted hangers. Otherwise will not fit (a few guys tried I know). Tbh its weird for me to see the "stock" tesla v2. Everyone I know modified it out of the box with lifted hangers and 2.5" or even 3" tire like on 16x 😅
Hi Adam, the Tesla v2 was my first wheel. It was great, and relatively safe, wheel to learn on.
Yeah, here in the US, saying something in a GOAT is a bad thing. Mountain Goat, now that is a climber. Always good stuff. I will be here for all of them.
(Greatest
Of
All
Time?)
Thanks for the shout out :-)
The Tesla V3 is on my radar for short rides as a slow cruiser. More battery and stronger motor...so more acceleration 😏.
Apparently the footplates are lower and not at an angle.
Bear in mind it's rated as a mid-level beginner's wheel (of which I am). I own a modded TESLA w/ a 1500wh
battery from China. Started riding a few months ago. I can verify the the wheel wanting to "get away" from you while riding. I find that I have to pay attention pr else I'll fall (2x so far). Looking forward to riding away from where I practice and doing some "road trips". Thinking about attaching plastic pipe to a used stroller as a trailer !!
Anyway, it's been a great Pandemic diversion and I'm thankful to Marty @ ElectricUnicycle for the encouraging
replies to my questions.
Be safe WW !!
did you mod the battery yourself or you bought it preinstalled with the mod? and can i get a link?
Great video thanks again 👍 😀
When's the 500km unpowered unicycle review ? :D Bought one when you reviewed yours and I'm slowly getting to the 500km mark haha
Aaahhh coming coming. I need to train a little more on it but I think this or next week I’ll make another video on it
@@mr_wrongway Did you know the existence of BC / Impossible Wheels ? It's basically like a EUC without a motor, and no seat either :)
Always thought this could be one of the best bang for buck wheels. Good if you are coming from esk8 for price comparison to a lot of better skateboards.
Can water get in through the speaker hole? Thanks for the review, really nice 👍
With the T3 around the corner, is it worth waiting for the upgrade for those specific minor improvements over the V2? I guess it would also depend on pricing as the V2 is currently discounted on some retailers.
I’m brand new to EUC’S, what would you recommend getting for terrible roads and frequent rain? NYC roads suck for Pevs, or any vehicle tbh
EUC Chronicles put a 2.5 inch tire on his V2 with no modifications. I've ordered a 2.5 inch but haven't received it yet. He claims it handles really nicely?
Is it still a good wheel,,,, compared to inmotion v10
How is the wheel if i'm at 225 lbs weight ?
Hello ! Thank you for this video on a subject ... I really like your
videos, your stile is so amazing. I am from France and I also work my
english with you ! Could you advise me on this subject ? I've been
riding an unicycle for 2 years and I've had two falls lately. Two
situations that are explained and that will probably not happen to me in
the future. I must not be good at it because I know that some people
have never fallen!... I love unicycle and I don't want to stop. It is
still a safe way to ride but I have hurt myself a lot during these falls
and I would like to protect myself better. I would like to get an
airbag vest to protect my chest. There are some for motorcycles and
bikes but I haven't found anything for unicycle... I would like to know
if it is possible to use a motorcycle or bicycle airbag with automatic
opening (fall detection). Will the vest open? The vests are not
cumbersome and it would reassure me to wear one to protect my spine in
case of a fall. Could you make a topic on this? or advise me a product? I
thank you and I wish you a lot of success with your channel !
Agreed
nice 500km review! nice and honest. 6mins 36.. no link appeared in the top right.. just a heads up!
Oh dang I will add it!
@@mr_wrongway no worries.. was just a fyi incase it was broke or forgotten :D
@@mr_wrongway Had a re-watch today and can confirm the link is now in place :)
Great video man! I ordered Tesla V3 in January and Gotway still haven´t made it for me. It is expected to be made 25th of march. Hopefully the will solve all the issues like the bearing and battery safety. But I bought it with bundle of 5A charger for 1325 USD which seeems like an amazing value for me :).
Where did you get it for that cheap? Im looking to buy one very soon too
@@etunimi11 aliexpress. Search for Wheel Riders Store
How's the wheel?
@@Qu.Z. no Idea man, they sent it from China last week :-)
@@TheDownloader86 aren’t you worried about no warranty when ordering from aliexpress?
Any plans on reviewing the T3? The price is surprising for the specs, kinda sounding too good to be true :)
The T3 will be my first wheel, buying it soon
@@etunimi11 i bought the T3 as my first wheel. Really satisfied. Though I crashed the other day by pushing it to the maximum speed.

Hey :) just a GoPro hero 8 :)
Hi Adam,
Are there any EUC for the heavier people? :D
I'm 110kg now, but with gear that can go to 120kg.
I'm a weightlifter so "do a diet" is not the best advice. :D:D:D
Thanks in advance!
Yes buy Gotway MSP HT or RS HT 👍
Tesla v2 ❤️😊
GOATway should improve the torque of all their wheels to climb on top of the euc game! :D
Agree! But I think they are already far ahead of others!
Where did you get that euc stand?
It's a trash bin, they sell them at ewheels
I have a v2 and 30mph cruising speed no problem.
When is the V3 coming out?
Begode said they will ship them on the 15th of this month
Is it a hollow motor?
No
@@mr_wrongway oh ok thanks for letting me know, how about the t3? Sorry just want to make sure
